Synthmaster freezes in Cubase artist 6.5

I have trouble getting synthmaster to work in cubase artist 6.5 it loaded after i went through changing buffer size and so on, now it plays but cant change sound or access any parameter on the GUI for synthmaster as it then just freezes the whole of cubase. any ideas please?

all sorted by rescanning plug ins and changing the plug in browser setttings
