I just found MUX vst here on the forum, and I haven't quit playing with it since. This plugin is already very cool, but I can see it becoming great.

Some things that I think MUX needs asap:

* Undo
* Volume control on the sampler browser (yikes! that's loud)

Some stuff that I would like to see soon:

* Multisampler with round-robin/velocity layers
* More outputs, for routing to my host's mixer
* Pdc. I wouldn't want to add plugins in MUX without it.
* Assignable notes and note choking in the Drum Note Processor

Some questions and observations that have come to mind while playing with MUX for a few hours:

* Is MUX capable of creating more complex oscillators and synths? Say, like the multi-oscillator in Reason's Thor? The presets and demos in MUX (and Mu.Lab Free) tend to sound static, kind of old school Fruity Loops, i.e., not much complexity going on in the sound in way of timbres, modulations, and velocity. As someone who isn't that involved in synth sound design (yet!), the presets and demos have me questioning how capable MUX is at this point.
* Are there any plans to work in a more full featured sampling library? I don't mean something as complex as Kontakt, but more along the lines of the Reason factory sound bank, with a range of general instruments.

Mutools, I think that I saw your name is Jo? Jo, this is a really cool plugin. I have wanted something like this for a long time, like everyone else here. I'll be buying it when it becomes available, and I'm keeping an eye on it's development from now on. Also, reading through some of the threads here, it looks like you have a good relationship with Mu.Lab/Mux users. It is nice seeing that level of interaction between a developer and users. Someone should bake you a cake or something. :D

Only 2 digits, certainly not more. So that's reasonable anyway, imho.
The exact price will be there on release. (in a couple of weeks)
Feel free to fall in love with it, you won't be ripped :)

Spellcheck, I guess.

Expected for MUX Vst 2 later this year (in parrallel with MuLab 5)

Ok, this seems to be a more frequent FR.
Will look into this.

In general: many more modules and extensions will be added during the further evolution of the MUX, no doubt! Got many such items on the wishlist already :)

I think you have to answer this for yourself. Explore & be creative! That said, MUX will grow further, including its oscillators.

Yes.

Jo, the windowing system in the latest build is working much better! Testing using Reaper 32bit version.

A few things that come to mind:

- I couldn't install the temp key. Kept telling me that it was invalid. Not sure if anyone else is having this issue?

- It is a bummer that the main vst window can't be on top, but not a showstopper.

- When I mimimise a window now it disappears completely, so I am not sure if there is any reason to keep it for the vst version.

- When I maximise a window, there is no restore icon, so you have to maually resize it back which is not always easy.I guess I have the same isue in Mutools. Maybe the current minimise icon can be changed to a restore one in the vst version?

- Would really love to see that background grey go much darker. More practical to see the light green/light blue patch leads against, and would look sexier :)

In general I am really digging this, and can see the Mudrum becoming my go to drum module. There really is little out there that gives you the flexibility of mixing sampled and synthesised drum sounds with this much flexibility. Should be a good selling point for you.

I'm just noticing it on some parameters now. I need to get some sleep...but I won't.

The forum added a space into the key. Remove the space after pasting it (it got me, too).

Can you please point me to another vst plugin that also uses sub-windows and that handles them all right?
Energy XT uses sub windows fine ;)
