Hello Vojtech, me again to bug you with more suggestions. :)

I can't believe I've never noticed this before now, but velocity isn't on the list of midi controllers. I'm assuming this is intentional, so why has it been left out? With velocity, along with aftertouch, modwheel and pitchbend, MXXX can become an extension to synths and samplers, like it is built into them.

One more thing, regarding the midi note controllers. I wasn't going to request this because I have a workaround in Reaper but I thought maybe I should for the benefit of others. I suppose it would make things slightly easier for me too. :)

I requested range parameters for the note controllers a while back, which you kindly delivered, so thanks for that. Now, how about being able to use the note selector (which becomes redundant in logarithic mode) to set the base note for the lowest parameter value. This defaults to C-2 which usually isn't right for most synth or sampler patches, both mine and others. So instead of C-2 moving a filter to 20hz, you could have C1 or whatever note you required as the base key instead.

I get around this in Reaper by inserting a midi control plugin between the synth I'm using and MXXX, so it intercepts the midi coming out of the synth, and then transposes it before sending it to MXXX. I usually have to transpose it down by 2 or 3 octaves.

Cheers!

Well, velocity depends on each note, so it is not really usable for polyphonic MIDI. I'll think about it, but I don't think it would be so useful, it more looks for the synth that could extend MXXX in the future.

Base note - ok, I'll add it to to-do list. The MIDI settings needs some polishing, too big now...

There's still plenty of creative options using monophonic midi. There's all kinds of useful ways to put it to good use IMO. One thing I would like to do for example, is to set up various effects, or chains to be triggered by specific midi notes, but with velocity set to control different parameters on the effects. Along with aftertouch, mod and pitch wheel, plus any other knobs on my midi keyboard, I could just improvise live and record the results, no doubt coming across plenty of useful bits to chop out for use in my projects. I do hope you will consider it, it would be a very cool feature.

Thanks for adding the Base Note request to the to-do list, much appreciated as always. :D

Cheers!
