Drum up support for a U-he Pro-One Emulation

U-he mentioned on the Props forum that they might consider doing a new RE with a simple monophonic synth design (rather than porting stuff already done with difficult GUI implementation on current SDK) so would like to put forward the idea of a Pro-One emulation.
Plus-points; simple monophonic sound engine (I know it's not as simple as that but it's easier to port and less cpu taxing than a polyphonic instrument) Simple GUI (nothing too taxing here, no cables, performance controls etc) Popularity of synth among artists, customers etc. No direct competition from any soft synth makers (creamware version is ancient and requires hardware)
The Diva engine seems well capable of handling the emulation so hopefully we can drum up some support for the idea, honestly shocked why it hasn't been done before. I went the RE route as the interest was already there for some kind of n monophonic simple synth but obviously there is the option there for other formats like vst/Au etc if it's popular :)

DIVA is already 80% Minimoog component integrated.

Before we start talking about other monosynths, can we at least have a proper parameter calibrated emulated of the Minimoog?

I mean the Mini oscillators and filter are already inside DIVA just begging to be fine tuned into something like this

I hope he will include pro-one emulation in diva or make a new synth that emulates the Sequential Circuits machines
circuit modeling and 0-dfb filters are cool

Well, we have a Pro One, but it still needs to be serviced (we are busy...)

Nevertheless, Pro One does not equal Pro5. It equals Rev3 of the Prophet 5 without the digital stuff, but what you really want is Revision 2. Which we still haven't got.

Hehe, I need a break now... we're gonna have a BBQ at Fritz' place tonight.

We already have minimoog and prophet 5 emulations, I'm trying to drum up support for a Pro-One emulation. If people support the idea it sends a message to the developer there is a market for the product, what they then choose to do with this information is up to them lol :)

I would prefer an oberheim or a Yamaha cs-80

I want a more complete version of Bazille

I would be 1st in line for a U-he Pro One. The Market for for a DIVA class Pro One emulation will be just about the same as TAL's new Juno 60 emulation which I'm sure Urs is taking note of.

We only have a semi Minimoog emulation because DIVA with all those component options cannot be properly parameter calibrated to any particular synth. If U-he were to add Pro One modules to DIVA, they would suffer the same fate. Better to do it separately.

I don't see any advantage in "parameter calibrated". Makes no sense to me.

+1

I would rather effort go into capturing the spirit of the instrument rather than matching exact parameter scaling. I think Diva hits it just right...

Agree to disagree?

I just happen to prefer the precise simple emulation model used by Waldorf PPG 3.V and TAL-Uno-LX to the Approximation model used by DIVA.

Talking about spirit... We're getting a Crumar Spirit in fabulous condition. While rather unknown to the crowd, this thing is supposed to be the ultimate monosynth. The filters are supposed to be like OSCar on steroids. Bob had his hands in it.

That said, we'd love to work on more emulations, but we currently have different plans. It won't happen before Zebra3 and we have a bunch of other things coming out before that (mainly updates).

Probably because your not recreating old patches.
