Plus-points; simple monophonic sound engine (I know it's not as simple as that but it's easier to port and less cpu taxing than a polyphonic instrument) Simple GUI (nothing too taxing here, no cables, performance controls etc) Popularity of synth among artists, customers etc. No direct competition from any soft synth makers (creamware version is ancient and requires hardware)
The Diva engine seems well capable of handling the emulation so hopefully we can drum up some support for the idea, honestly shocked why it hasn't been done before. I went the RE route as the interest was already there for some kind of n monophonic simple synth but obviously there is the option there for other formats like vst/Au etc if it's popular
