this is a fresh post i do from a previous one in an other thread where i had no answer.
i use cubase 6.5 64 / seven64 / i72600k / 16ram
as tools i have the Diva, Komplete 7, bluecats, oxfords, superior drum, pianoteq, UVI.. all is fine. except i have random issues with uhe plugs. it's happening to the zebra more than the diva so let's talk about zebra first.
maybe i found an answer so i start with descrption of the problem then what i did that "maybe" works (i'll see with time)
if i start a fresh session with nothing at all it's ok i can open them and use them. but if i have a crowdy session for some reason they open but no sound coming out. all other VSTi are fine. i have no CPU overload, changing buffer doesn't help.
i see zebra window and controls, i see blink signal while i hit key .. no sound at all.
i have no idea what's going on. it's not crashing there's just no sound. routing is fine i try volume midi i check volumes output and sends, filters up, i skip thru presets ...
i remove ALL vsti from this non working session. it's the same.
now i save this almost empty session and reload it. it's working !!
if i do the opposite (remove zebras save reload) it's still not working.
so there must be a problem with zebra and something inside my session i tried to remove vsti one by one but can't figure out if it's a specific vsti or the amount of vsti itself.
this session i work on is a template. i preload all the VSTI no matter what music i work on. there's a lot of vsti but it's working fine. so for some "reason" at one point the zebra that i have loaded succesfully in the template don't work any more in the future "saving" of that template. like if it was corrupted.
now this is what i figured out. as i had no clue and couldn't repeat the problem i thought about the position of the plug in the cubase vst instruments window. I think i get this problem when uhe plugs are loaded on slots above 10
(don't ask me why !)that's why i get this problem in big session no matter of CPU usage. so i loaded my uhe instance in the upper slots and it's working so far. i say so far because it's so difficult to reproduce and i tried so many things that i may come back in some days saying it's the same again.
hell .
now about the DIVA. i don't know. it's all working and one day for no reason when the session has loaded boum crash i go back to desktop with the below message. i'll see if loading uhe vsti in upper slots solve the problem also or not.
