Maybe you must have Mulab Unlimited if you want to use rewire...

Which platform are you on: Windows 32 bit - Windows 64 bit - OSX 32 bit?
And which app are you trying to ReWire into MuLab?

There indeed is a bug in the M5.0.26 test version which prevents plugging in a rewire device. That bug is fixed in the next test version. MuLab 4 should have no probs with rewire though. Which M4 version do you mean?

v 4.1.8 of mulab works with rewire but as far as can tell in any later versions the options for ableton and reason through rewire aren't available and it says 'no devices' in rewire menu.
while i'm on here, i wonder if it's possible to adapt or make modules that would allow fm synthesis in mux? it may be possible with existing modules but if not does anyone know enough about fm to create modules?

I can rewire Reason 6 into the latest MuLab 4.5.1 without prob. That's on Windows 32 bit.plutonia wrote:v 4.1.8 of mulab works with rewire but as far as can tell in any later versions the options for ableton and reason through rewire aren't available and it says 'no devices' in rewire menu.
I checked but can't find any reason why there would be a change in behaviour in M4 wrt rewire.
Anyone else having probs with rewiring reason into M4.5?
It's on the wishlist.while i'm on here, i wonder if it's possible to adapt or make modules that would allow fm synthesis in mux? it may be possible with existing modules but if not does anyone know enough about fm to create modules?

I can't repeat this. All installed rewire devices show up fine here in M4.5 Win 32. Anyone else having similar probs as plutonia reported?

MuLab 4.5.1 (32bit on Win7-64) here:

No problems - Reaper looks like a Rewire device. I can add it to the session MUX or into a rack slot.

tried it on two computers( 1 xp and other win 7 both 32 bit) and same thing. ableton works with reason using rewire but mulab 4.5.1. doesn't. will wait for mulab 5 next revision and see if works thenpljones wrote:MuLab 4.5.1 (32bit on Win7-64) here:

addition:
just installed demo of reaper to see if it showed up and now rewire works for reaper, ableton and reason in mulab. anyone know what could have happened here?!
