It's great for interesting, complex sounding pads that stay out of the way of big analog-type sounds. I wouldn't use it for much else.

Agreed! I find it to be extremely digital, even when it's using samples of analog synths!

Pity they are not on sale. Right now they cost nearly 3 times as much as I paid for the plugin.

Yeah, I'm starting to appreciate it's filler nature. A big bonus for this role is also the very low CPU usage of modern standards.

For everything else both Rapture and Dimension Pro seem extremely dated. I would not recommend them unless you buy 3rd party, more up-to-date sound banks or plan on doing some sound designing of your own.

Cheers!

Directly copying the folders (bass, leads etc) to the aforementioned programs folder.. ..when i open them in rapture it says multisamples missing. I am using the bonus programs to deno, whether i want your whole set.
As you found out, that will not work. The bonus programs rely on multisamples from the Universal 120 Expansion Pack. (It is not my software BTW)

One thing I would like to know from those that have picked up Rapture (or DimPro) on this deal. Does Cakewalk add links to the free expansion packs to your store accounts? If not, you should go to the support page for the synths and get them.

No, I don't think they do.

The expansion packs for Dimension Pro saved that synth for me, as it injects patches usable for electronic music. The Dim Pro library in itself is dead boring, 90% of the sounds is tailor made for an operator in a piano bar

For Rapture users should also get the free Muz3um expansions pack, which is the BOMB!

What is these rumors about Rapture 2? It it true that this can happen anytime soon?

Thanks

I would strongly encourage everyone that picks up either synth to download the FREE expansion packs. There are 3 packs for DimPro and 2 packs for Rapture. The links are in the support area for each synth on the Cakewalk website.

Patcharena is another good resource. Muz3um is the old z3ta+ package converted to Rapture. It is a nice one.

Yeah the Bonus Patches were specifically for the U120 pack. Thanks and enjoy. Have a great weekend.
