Are we talking about a matter of a few seconds here? :? :help:
To be quite honest I've never noticed this issue no matter what I've been recording. If it's audio or MIDI and no matter how many FX I can't say I've said "Dammit there's that PDC issue again!"

Sometimes I wonder if the issue is overblown.

to the OP... i think you should be a quaility control expert... and leave the music alone... i have never seen an individual that "complains" as much as you... nothing seems to work for "you"... you should bring your services to these companies as a quaility control expert... basically... show them how it is done!!!

Split it into two mate.

My trusty spreadsheet tells me each segment should be 10mins each :D

in live 8, you could also reduce the plugin buffer to 32, which was separate from the audio buffer. they removed that for live 9 halfway through the beta though, not sure why - we were hoping that it was because they were implementing proper ADC, but no such luck. i think there is still a way to set it from the preferences file though (i haven't upgraded to live 9 yet, so can't check).... that reduces the effect for VST plugins. M4L plugins always use the audio buffer and aren't helped though.

Cheers.

Hmmm... I have long accepted the cpu requirements in Live are way higher than Logic, one of the reasons I sold my license back in the 4.0 days. But I purchased Live 9.0 intro just for fun, to take a wack at it occasionally so I have done some stuff recently... that being said I guess I've never done anything complex enough to hit this limitation. Or notice it. I'm compelled to try and see if I can do so! Ha! 8)

That was the point I was making - with a bunch of different approaches I have never found a problem. I too assumed it was something that would only manifest in a very complex setup beyond what the vast majority of people would do.

What about the individual track delay, this was designed for these issues I believe.

Its never bothered me anyway, I guess it depends on your workflow. I certainly dont need millisecond accurate timing.
