Problems with some of Nori Ubukuta's patches

Spending some time with Synthmaster these days.

a few problems with some of Nori's patches though.

1. BRA Fame is panned pure right...... I am assuming this is in error? (Layer 1)

2. There is some patch I assume an LED Patch starting with the letter T that shows up as blank (between Toccato 2 and Trilogy). if you select it, eventually I get the spinning wheel in Cubase Mac.. although you can hear the patch.




3. There are some patches between SEQ and SHICD (between SEQ The Twilight Cove and SHICD Bright Sequence), looks like three patches that have the same problem as 2 above.




I am not sure which banks these come from.

It's a bit disappointing that Bulent hasn't commented or acknowledged reading this thread.
That said, I think I found the problem.....the three offending patches on the pc are all part of the tour de france patches, which for whatever reason Nori or someone else decided to use 'illegal' characaters as the part of their name before tape 1a and 1b part of their name. Or maybe they were originally Japanese characters that don't translate well?

These patches are part of the Dawn of Electronic Music Vol1 bank.

Hey just read it, and passed it to Nori. I think those "blank" presets have a special character in their names so they dont get displayed correctly. I am going to rename them and upload the bank again.

He should reply back asap.

Hi,
I checked the preset browser in 3 ways.

1, left K. Emerson bank only in th e preset folder and refresh the browser.
2, left Historic Synth Giants Volume 2 only.
3, Put all presets what I have.
Then I didn't see any blank patches however I actually used accent aigu om three patches in "Dawn of electronic....vol.1"

The suspects are.
LED Tour De France. étape1.smpr
SEQ Tour De France. étape1A.smpr
SEQ Tour De France. étape1B.smpr

I assume the reason why is that I didn't use the installer to install them. Maybe the installer didn't recognize those character on your OS.

So, will you please replace "é" with normal "e" in the preset folder then through /users/shared/synthmaster/synthmasterpresets.xml away and relaunch SM.

yes that is what it is...and please don't forget to fix the pan in BRA Fame as well.

but yes I do think it is the accent in the étape1, that is causing the problem in the Dawn of Electronic vol 1 bank..... also please don't forget the BRA Fame patch in Pop Volume 1... layer 1 is panned right and is the only layer used...because these are banks I can't adjust and resave them.


the file you mention in users/shared doesn't have the Tour De France presets (I am assuming this file only has the factory bank).......

/users/shared/synthmaster/ is for the preset list file. "synthmasterpresets.xml"
You should delete this file after correcting the lettes of the presets.
The presets are in (Mac OSX case),
Library/Application Support/KV331 Audio/Presets/Dawn of Electronic Music Vol.1/
But I'm not sure the how are those files appearing in the folder because I have no problem on my side.


About the panning of BRA Fame....It's designed as it is to control the panpot bu mod wheel.
Try to move the mod wheel you can hear the panning. On the other hand By easy knob 3 "OSC pan spread" you can get stereo sound.

It is a bank, our version of synthmaster can't correct the naming of a bank as a bank is read only.

Or what maybe happens is you do them as presets and send them to Bulent who converts them into a read only bank which we can't edit... so you still see them as individual presets, but we don't.
