I'm extremely disappointed about this too. Sylenth1 is probably my most used soft synth next to Nexus, Synthmaster and ACE. I hate to do it, but I'd rather go to Cubase than use a DAW that doesn't support S1.

That said, I'm sure something will come along, whether it be an FXpansion-ish sort of bridge for Logic, or an update from lennard. I mean come on guys it's probably one of the most popular soft synths in the world! I could list the major producers that use it, but you'd all get annoyed with me.

I don't get the weeping.. Sylenth1 is a decent synth and all, but it's been left for dead for quite a while, it's like a breakup you know is coming, when it finally happens you're emotionally done anyways.
And in this case, it's a breakup that leads to you having a new GF / BF AND keeping your ex on the side for a little on the side snack, LPX seems (atleast on my system) to run beautifully alongside LP9.. So whenever you want to play a bit with your ex, there (s)he is.. 32 bit and ready for you..

LX is good here so far as well...in fact i already deleted L9...am living dangerously... LOL. but it IS a shame. i have an insane library of sounds for S1, many of them recent. the sound designers DO keep up with S1, so it's far from dead.

am checking out spire (reveal-sound.com) which will probably do the work S1 did. but am sad to lose sylenth1. sad but not surprised...

I just started using Sylenth back in September. I'm not ready to breakup. And I agree with you fisherKing, Sylenth is still alive and well. It is a staple of commercial EDM producers like Zedd, Swedish House Mafia, Nicky Romero, etc. The sad thing is I just transitioned from Ableton to Logic a couple months ago. I just got comfortable with it, and now I have to drop it because ninety percent of my signature patches are in Sylenth. This is absolutely RAGE INDUCING!

my feeling is, if there was no plan to upgrade the plugin, that should have been clearly stated on the site...before you could buy it.... it's true, new soundsets come out for it every day, it's the most supported plugin in that respect. but...time to give it a good burial...

While I can understand the peoples anger, most of them are funny. First of all, lets look at the facts. No major update has been done to sylenth recently, so everyone thinks its dead. OK. But since the synth is still sold on the website, its probably still bringing money to the company, so its not dead. From a business point of view do people really think Lennard will write on his website: this plugin is dead, dont buy it anymore, buy a new synth instead? Of course he wont. He will keep selling it as long as there is interest for it, and seeing how its one of the most successful synths ever, I dont think it will die soon.

The second thing is, people act like princesses. When you bought the synth you knew the cold brutal fact: its 32 bit only. Is it Lennards fault that you are switching to a 64 bit only environment? Its your own decision to keep up with technology and go with Logic X with no 32 bit support. No one forced you. Is it Lennards fault that Logic X took away 32 bit? No its Apples fault. Go to apple and send them an email, or start a petition on petition.org or something.

Now I also understand the everyone says that its software and it can be updated and it should have support for the latest technology, and I respect that. But a little grown up mentality wouldn't hurt sometimes. Lennard never lied to you. When you bought the plugin did it say somewhere in the agreement that a 64 bit version will come? No. He sold a 32 bit plugin, and you got what you paid for. You bought the 32 bit plugin, and the choices you make in the future Lennard has nothing to do with them. We have no idea about Lennards background or life so we shouldn't act like we do, and start demanding left and right...

I think right now all I would like is some confirmation from Lennar that they have no intention of creating a 64bit version. Without that many people will still hold out for hope of a update and put off any decision about Logic. At least then we would know where we stand and move on.

For me I'm just gonna have to work in LP9 for Sylenth use and bounce until someone releases a 32bit bridge for LPX.

I use Vienna Ensemble Pro with Live 9 64 and it works great. As stated here and elsewhere, don't need it for Cubase MAC though. There is another option to explore though - Download the Demo of Samplit - http://www.cdxtract.com/samplit.php and sample whatever Sylenth presets you need for your songs in Logic. Samplit can create .nki Kontakt instruments and I've found it works very well with Vsti's, Manual recording and midi recording of workstations. For Vsti's Samplit has its own form of bridge and will give you a list (one of those being Sylenth) of all your instruments it can sample. On the MAC I use Soundflower to connect with the Vsti's and set the Samplit audio device to Sunflower instead of my hardware audio device for recording Vsti's.

So, there are options for those of you that stick with Logic - Vienna Ensemble Pro $250 or Samplit $129. Not sure if jBridge works on the MAC as well as it does on the PC.

I think you could still use Logic 9 if you wanted to run Sylenth.

You can run both LP9 and LPX on the same system so you can bounce on 9 and import into X. Not quite the same though.

I don't want to cause controversy, but isn't it more of a rip off that Apple doen't offer an upgrade offer to Logic X for existing customers, and they don't implement a 32-bit bridge, and they don't support older MacOS versions? I mean not that i believe noone can't afford it... if you can afford a 1.000 € plus computer, you will most probably able to shell out another 200 $... just wondering why people complain about a 150 $ software which doesn't get to 64-bit then. Especially as there seems to be a nice alternative in the form of Spire. Actually, if you want to tell the dev that you're not ok with his not ability to do his business right, you should just stay away from Sylenth, and get the alternative(s). Because i doubt he will read a word of all this.

I know somebody who managed to talk them into giving him a Logic X update, then another guy I know was refused.

I actually need the 32 bit so it's no big deal for me right now.
