I totally agree. Other than this one little bump in the road I have NEVER encountered a single bug in Sylenth. Until now I've really never had a single thing to complain about. I'd rather be loyal to Sylenth than loyal to Logic, after all, the whole Logic X interface makes me a little uneasy anyways.dr_dohh wrote:I kind of feel bad for him. he made something really special and you'd expect people to cheer him on.
instead people turned on him pretty quickly when they didn't like the customer service. Personally, I've had 5 pretty stable years of using this so I can't really complain that much.
I can't imagine this whole AU programming bit to be easy, so I'll just cut him some slack; I'll wait for an update or find a good replacement.
Good thing about Logic Pro X is you can still run the Logic 9 version for older projects, so there is still a way to work around this problem.
Logic Pro X is here with no 32-bit support or bridge: What now?

I remember starting a thread a long time ago about sylenth. The knock on it back they was it hadn't been updated in years. You'll forgive, but where is the optimism that it's going to be updated anytime soon?

Well this guy from the other thread said this:
Of course, I don't think it's easy to program these plugins so I can't say that it will happen anytime soon. What I can say is I like the chances of seeing a 64 bit au update.
plus the fact that the Sylenth FB page was updated earlier.grandgazou wrote:It's legit. No joke! I wrote him and he answered back like 24 hours later.soundpalace wrote:Forgive me for asking, but are you pulling our leg? hehe He doesn't tend to ever respond to questions about an AU 64-bit version. I emailed him ages ago about it and was ignored.grandgazou wrote:TheoM wrote:Wasteland1 wrote:Hopefully the new logic update, forces Lennar to go with 64bit
you really think there is ANY chance of that?
Oh yes, I think there is. I just got this reply from Lennard:
"Hi,
We are working on a 64bit version of Sylenth1.
Best regards,
Lennard"

I hope it is for you guys, honestly, I'd love to see it. But I'm highly skeptical. Not trying to be "debbie downer" just saying, it's hard to believe that after all this time there will be an update

I've got 25 32bit plugins that won't work in LPX... Among them are Slates Trigger & FGX the Soundtoys stuff and some great synths that probably won't ever see a 64bit makeover that I still use like Steinbergs Virtual Gtr.
There's no reason IMO to force people/developers into updating (if they can't or won't) when the technology allows us to have the best of both worlds...
I can still use a mini moog along side a Phatty so why is the idea of legacy frowned upon by some software fascists.
Mr J Bridge please make an AU version ASAP

Well in Lennard's defense, other than this little bump in the road, Sylenth1 hasn't really needed an update till now. Everything has worked fine for me at least. Why release maintenance updates unless there is something to maintain?hibidy wrote:I hope it is for you guys, honestly, I'd love to see it. But I'm highly skeptical. the beta never worked in logic/os x. a lot of newer soundsets would not work pre-beta. so...an issue for a while.
i've been very vocal about needing a 64bit AU for a while now. but i've also been a fan, and bragged about S1 at every turn.
it's ok to want something more out of something you love...

I definitely understand. I used to use NI's pro-53 quite often. Now it's not even supported anymore. Initially I was bugged by it but then later on I transitioned into Sylenth1 as my go-to synth. But now that it's not 64-bit yet, S1 forced me to learn other soft synths better, like FM8, Massive, even Omni and Nexus2. Plus with the number of projects I've used S1 with, I can say that it's worth the time and money I've spent on it.fisherKing wrote:the beta never worked in logic/os x. a lot of newer soundsets would not work pre-beta. so...an issue for a while.

if a fixed 64 bit au comes out that fixes all bugs and works with all banks.. i'm going to bloody buy it
I can't not have it if it exists.. i mean.. we have all wanted spire to replace it but sylenth already has the library support but a quarter the cpu usage of spire. I'd actually sell spire if this happened.
me too (the "i'd buy sylenth1" part). i just sold my license, but i'd be happy to buy it new, to SUPPORT a new 64bit AU...

Hi dudes!
I found the 32-bit AU bridge application from Logic Pro 9. It's located in the Logic Pro 9 App. Right click on the app and choose "Show pack contents" then go to the folder called frameworks and then the folder called MAAudioUnitSupport.framework. Continue to the folder called Versions and then the folder called A. Inside this folder you will find the 32-bit AU bridge app.
I don't know if this can help anyone, but I hope so. It would be great to get the 32-bit plugins to work in logic x.
If someone finds out how to use this 32-bit bridge please reply
Cheers

One could try to insert that file in the same position in the Logic X app and see what happens. Wouldn't get my hopes up, there may very well be other resources needed that are omitted in X.KVR_mmaker wrote:Hi dudes!

Besides, I've never seen a buggier bridge in my life.

i might try this later, but it does seem like there would be more to it than JUST the bridge (mine has a 'cassette tape' icon...did that a few years ago.
the bridge was (finally) mostly stable for me in L9.1.8 and 10.8.4. but, again, seems like the bridge itself would not be enough.
if i do try it, will report back...
