Congrats to the diva! :)

Of course. Someone just needs to add the button from Diva to Bazille's UI file...
D'oh... So here's a slightly adapted version of Bazille.txt; on a Mac, it should be located in this folder:

/Library/Application\ Support/u-he/Bazille/Scripts/Bazille.txt

I added this bit:

Code: Select all

/***************************************************
 ***** ADDED: Multi-core on/off switch - BEGIN *****
 ***************************************************/
CONTROL type='Button On-Off' name='Button 1509' bounds='121.00 3.00 26.00 12.00' parent='Pane 1033' layerMask='1'
PROPERTY control='Button 1509' name='colours' id='0' value='defaultBackground'
PROPERTY control='Button 1509' name='colours' id='1' value='defaultBorder'
PROPERTY control='Button 1509' name='colours' id='2' value='defaultText'
PROPERTY control='Button 1509' name='colours' id='3' value='none'
PROPERTY control='Button 1509' name='colours' id='4' value='none'
PROPERTY control='Button 1509' name='graphics' id='0' value='none'
PROPERTY control='Button 1509' name='graphics' id='1' value='none'
PROPERTY control='Button 1509' name='graphics' id='2' value='none'
PARAMETER control='Button 1509' port='Button Value' module='VCC' parameter='MuCore'

CONTROL type='Label' name='Label 1510' bounds='-1.00 11.00 69.00 12.00' parent='Button 1509' layerMask='1'
PROPERTY control='Label 1510' name='colours' id='0' value='none'
PROPERTY control='Label 1510' name='colours' id='1' value='defaultText'
PROPERTY control='Label 1510' name='graphics' id='0' value='none'
PROPERTY control='Label 1510' name='labeltext' id='0' value='multi-threaded'
/***************************************************
 ****** ADDED: Multi-core on/off switch - END ******
 ***************************************************/

That creates the button... but it does not do anything... turn it on or off and hold a chord and cpu use stays the same

Oops. :oops:

I think "module='VCC'" should be "module='PCore'" - shouldn't have changed that. Now I do get very different CPU use with switch on/off. Will update my previous post, thanks!

Happy birthday Mrs. Klimek.
I'll convey the wishes, thanks :)

It Works!!!

Thanks so much for doing that!! I am right now playing with plentiful polyphony, particular pads that I could never play previously!

(I think Bazille is the best softsynth ever made)

I am greedy, so I also want the unison and voice stack modulator and random modulator. Would you be able/willing to enable those? I have turned Unison on by editing a preset so I know it is also there. And the Voice Stack and Random are in the LFO so they 'just' need an output in the midi section... :D

Awesome. :)

Great idea! Sure, I'm willing to give that a try. How did you add the Unisono in a preset? It should probably provide a clue what to look for in the Theme script.

Adding the wire outputs was not hard. But making it actually work... not so much. :) I can drag cables from the new outputs, but they won't connect to anything. I guess this may need more than just adding a bit of skin. So let's just ask Urs: can this already be done with the current version of Bazille?

Voicing=1 is the default
Voicing=3 would be unison of 3

I believe I am remembering that correctly

I am hopeful the new outputs can be done since both modulators are functional in the LFO, but Urs would have to confirm that...

(wait till the EP is out... it's a fest of ACE, Diva and Zebra at Gareth Jones' hands)

(where's that bottle of bubbly...)
Just checked out the audio clips... I really like it. Did the facebook like thing too.

Nah, not possible in that version - the main dsp algorithm that contains all oscs, filters and multiples needs to translate them from modulation signals into audio rate modulations... ;-)

Happy birthday Mrs. Klimek.
I know her from the two albums of Tony Banks where she participated. Great work there.

Happy birthday to her and myself (yes it's my birthday today...). :)

Gotcha.

I think I did manage to add the voices/stack voicing though, pdxindy. :) I have updated the edited script linked above, please check it out. Oh, and I also adjusted the position/alignment of the multi-core switch / label a bit:

Whoa! Happy Birthday, Ingo. What a great day to be born. My birthday is today too! (It really is. I'm 32 now, but still regularly carded for ID at the liquor store!) I've even been carded holding my toddler daughter!
