but that one doesn't validate properly does it? Personally that would drive me nuts.

Just run their Validate all app Plugins will not be in the "incompatible" folder when choosing plugins.

My take on the matter is this - I was producing perfectly great sounding tracks with my 32 bit plugins on LP9.

No thanks to Apple not telling me that they were releasing LPX just a few weeks after I shell out and get my Apple Certified Pro status for LP9.

I'm sticking with 9 - sure, a new version has come out, but it's not going to suddenly take away anyone's ability to produce on the previous version. Hell, I still use Cubase 4 and it does everything I could want it to.

So I say stop fretting so much about LPX not having 32 bit compatibility - that's Apple's fault. Just stick with LP9 until a solution arrives - there's no need to go about deleting plugins. Let's say that you've spent $500 on Sylenth and banks and everything. Well, would you buy Logic Pro X if it cost $700 and you couldn't use your favourite plugin anymore? Because for the time being, they're taking that investment away from you.

I know I'm going to stick with Logic Pro 9 - stable, trustworthy, and just as great as it was a few months ago.

whatever works! for me, logic X is worth giving up sylenth1 (for now); but L9 is fine too. depends on your priorities.
for me, the new look, the new options...are well worth it. but at the end of the day, music is music...and the tools we choose are just tools...
