This example is nonsense, because I'm with Cubase longer than "just 6.5", remember?Guillermo Navarrete wrote:No... why?
It does not apply for you at all...
If you paid 149, for the upgrade from Cubase 6.5 to Cubase 7 and in case there is a paid upgrade for 7.5 and you decide to pay for it... then you would have paid something around 198,00, theoretically speaking. (I am not saying there is going to be a paid upgrade, I am just using it as an example)
I didn't get the paid(!) 6.5 update since I found it a total ripoff and only two months later, you folks confirmed that 6.5 is the last version and C7 was on front doors.
So I waited, actually 2-3 months past the C7 release, and then went from C6 to C7. Only to be smacked in the face with tons of bugs.
Add to that the fact that you recently upped prices for "future upgrades" (we're currently at 250 EUR for major to major version and 199 EUR for dot to major), and the indirect wink that 7.5 will be(!) paid (Helge Vogt said so himself - several times)... well I already paid more than it was actually worth it.
Don't you think?
(hint at the "nuke your OS to find a bug that was NOT on my rigs end!" thing)
No it won't. Not anymore.Guillermo Navarrete wrote: So ti will be the same as it was when customers upgraded from Cubase 4 to Cubase 5 = 199,00
Two words:Guillermo Navarrete wrote:I know you are eager to know but I will kindly ask you to be patient and wait for the official announcement, whenever it is.Will there be an interim paid update (7.2 or 7.5)?
Will the release cycle be longer than 1,5 years this time around?
Will we longtime users be forked over again with the next major version (that I expect by Musikmesse 2014 latest) if we talk about bugs, cut features and support?
It has to be done on our official website and thorough the official channels, obviously I am not posting anything before time and on KVR... It also has to be made by the product manager itself.
Thank you for your understanding.
F*ck you!
And f*ck the Product Management. (we definitely need an emoticon for that)
If you're not allowed to say anything, get one of these idiots in here. But sorry, you can't ban people on KVR if you have to stand up to delicate questions. Might as well STFU then and say nothing instead of constantly pissing people off with stupid comments.
Let the programmers speak up again, and not some marketing idiot that's only like "hey, this stuff's cool - you just have to pay a fair ammount for it."
You're (Steinberg, the company - and it's official representatives!) still evading questions and you expect us, the longtime users, to bend over, be a good person while being f*cked in the behind. I'm so sick of this sh*t!
You owe to us paying customers!
Especially the longtime ones - like I am.
Else, I ask once more:
Where can I sign up for "official beta testing", so that I can get my licenses for free from now on?
I'm your guinea pig since C5, might as well finally benefit from my work. I can offer references as well. Just PM me.
Since I'm under NDA's - I'm not allowed to talk publically about them.
I'm sure you understand until someone makes that official.
Oh and, boxed versions please!
Thanks!
