For me Synthmaster CM sounds incredible and I like the GUI a lot too now, but quite tricky to make the drum sounds compared to Dune CM.
I went for CM101 exactly because making drum sounds with it is not easy. There are several patches for kicks available, but little else. Making a snare sound without a noise generator is a serious challenge (but I tackled that... somewhat :D).

Hmmm ..

I'm going to have to participate as well, methinks. Hopefully with more luck than last time.

Pity I've woken up so late, there's not a lot of time left .. and I don't know these synths at all.

Best get creative. Quick !

Don't worry, after a few more OSC, you'll be able to recognize and use 70%+ of most synths within a minute, since most of them have very similar concepts.

Good luck :)

Can we use alchemy on this contest?

Why, you're going for round 3? :) You've already submitted 2 tracks... I think the rules allow just 1 song per entrant ;)

I don't think so, as it doesn't only use single-cycle waveforms, unless I am mistaken.

I thought this would be a good time to finally check out SynthMaster - and I thought it was really, really good. But last night a few of my presets had gone weird - a snare (that took me ages) had turned into a fizzy dink instead. I reloaded the song... still a fizzy dink. I take it that's not normal? This turned out to be quite useful though, as it gave me a moment to realise that I was quite pleased to give up the whole project and start again with Aalto synth, which I've also had on my list for a while - and it's suddenly my favourite synth ever. Until next week.

Are you using Renoise?

Yep, Aalto is a really good synth. My only qualm is high CPU use when notes aren't sounding... limits the number of instances you can use.
And Synthmaster is a really good synth, too. Sorry to hear about your patch funkiness, I've not had those problems, personally.

TBH for me Synthmaster CM was a big letdown: very unstable, issues with the presets and settings, etc (in FL Studio 9). The BE version seemed way more reliable (and I've also liked a lot more the sound - closer to the older Synthmaster).

My thoughts exactly, I tried it awhile back and it crashed on my Cubase SX 2 a few times so I gave up. I've switched over to Reaper now so I might see if it works better this time around.

Try the 32bit version it should be better.
Works at KV331 Audio
SynthMaster voted #1 in MusicRadar's "Best Synth of 2019" poll
