Well, we have this in principle in Zebra, but it doesn't work with our multicore engine. It's tricky.

thanks rod_zero, I'll have a look at it.

So far I never felt Diva was missing anything in modulation options. I'll check out Circle and Twin.

Yeah Zebra has something quite similar and it is easy to use, that's why I miss it more on DIVA.

I watched a video about Fabfilter Twin and its modulation options. This is very nice, but personally I prefer to have sources and destinations fixed so that I can access them with my MIDI controller. Mostly I don't use a mouse when playing and patching Diva, Lemur is the programmer for almost every parameter, including modulation sources.

But I understand people want more options because they work with the mouse.

Hey,

You might have heard it in the grape vine. We're looking for detailed feedback on the Digital Osc:

Diva 1.3.0b2 Mac
Diva 1.3.0b2 Win

This version of Diva has a preliminary GUI for the Digital Osc and Uhbie filter. Please do not post screenshots without that disclaimer!

major changes from V1.2.1:

- added Arpeggiator and Clock module
- added Digital Osc (inspired by JP80x0)
- added Uhbie filter (modeled after famous SVF, with exaggerated character)
- ultra fast, multi threaded UI loading
- AAX 32/64 support (PT 10.3.5+ or 11.0.2+)
- tidied up trimmers page

known issues:

- documentation still 1.2
- ReadMes and some version numbers still 1.2

Enjoy,

- Urs

Known issue: AAX is broken on Mac, the PACE signature has failed :-x

We'll be uploading a new Mac version shortly, hopefully with working AAX plug-in.

Very low traffic on KvR now... half KvR is sitting in the studio and testing Diva Beta with the new digital osz :D

This update is a total game changer and renders at least a few other synths in my folder functionally obsolote.

I noticed the Uhbie filter behaves very strangely in draft mode. Resonance knob feels like it's controlling cutoff. Weird. The other filters don't seem to have that issue.

I love that the special oscillators can be sync-ed. Sync only worked on the classical waveforms on the JP, because osc 2 was saw/square/tri only, but now that you can sync the complex waveforms (as well as FM and ringmod) you can make some VERY complex tones.

Also digging the extra parameters. The pulse wave can make PWM, triangle, sawtooth, weird blends of the three and wacky syncoid sounds like the wrap FX in Zebra. And the 'bent triangle' has it's horizontal and vertical deformations separated into two controls.

Supersaw seems spot on. Haven't found anything to really fault yet :)

Urs,
just a question:
Is there a risk to overwrite/erase patches or favorites with the update?

(and of course: thanks a lot!!! :harp: :band: :band: :band: :band: :band2: :band2: :band2: :band2: :band2: :band2:

mmmm, ultrafast UI loading, seksi. Just tried it here, way way faster :)

I take it that will eventually make it in to all possible products :?:
