Hi Peter...
I have a question: For a demo tune I can use own presets, or they need to be the presets thats come with Spectral beta?
Thanks...

The demo is intended to show the Spectral, so I feel its ok to use own presets. Usually demo makers use the factory library (which is not yet available, only a few sounds), and tweak them to fit the song as it develops. So usually you never hear the pure factory sounds, excepts when its a "preset demo". So just go on and feel free to check back with me if you want some feedback in mid work (or rather notdjlibreza wrote:Hi Peter...

Do you mean the way it is implemented in Diversion?solidtrax wrote:@Peter from Linplug
Forgive me if I didn't look carefully enough, but is there a way to use only one filter section for a preset that contains multiple oscs? I don't always wish for a separate filter section.
I know there is a filter in the FX, but that's different, I need to have something like a master filter (cutoff, resonance, envelope, etc). I know there are plugins that give you the option to route an OSC to a certain Filter. I would LOVE that.
So tell me I'm blind and that it's already implented, make my day!
Edit: thinking about it some more (not in the studio currently), I can probably get around it by using the mod matrix. This synth is so amazing that I didn't even had the time to start playing with the Mod Matrix. Oops..

Hello,
while programming presets for spectral I recalled some previously programmed by myself presets, and one preset was broken making loud an distorded noises. I don't know if I did something wrong, I remember simply saving the preset as fxp and that's it.
I'm using FL Studio 11 (32 bit latest version), with the 64 bit Spectral VST2 on a Windows 7 64 bit machine if it can help. Will try to investigate that further when back home, maybe I simply did something wrong.
I have 5 presets so far ^^ Spectral is a great synth.

I've sent a mail to Peter and asked for his opinion on some sounds I made for Spectral. Unfortunately he did not yet reply.
I'll keep creating sounds and demo music.

Hi Guys,
So far, just playing around a bit and trying out the presets, wow! What a beautiful synth. It sounds quite amazing.
Additive synthesis is a new world for me so, it is going to be a while before I can start making usable presets.
Question: Is there going to be a way to do re-synthesis of sampled waveforms?
I have two UI suggestions so far:
• in the preset browser, a) make the lefthand-most column show the preset banks and take out the "bank" button.
or
b) replace the "bank" button with a popup menu. I prefer "a" personally.
• Add "up" and "back" arrows

Thank you JKVisFX,
and dont worry about "Additive Synthesis", you can always start with the Waveforms and Filtershapes that ship with Spectral, no NEED to dive into this right away.
