Its CPU performance when sitting idle on my hard drive is negligible, and the sound that it doesn't make is nothing short of silence. What more could a person ask for in a DAW that he's stuck with?
I think I'm supposed to lolz at that, but I'm not quite sure.

good thing,fl studio is in the process of a complete vector based gui rewrite,i'm curious how this will be turned out but it needs some months.

I've had a license for years and i've gotten more heavily into it in this version.

It's great for working with plugins, good stability and cpu use, the bridging means i can use my old 32 bit plugins, mp3 export etc. But better than the likes of Live and Studio One as a professional daw? :|

It's got a lot of nice stuff but i wouldn't use it for mixing and mastering, the mixer is too small (for me) and you've really gotta be organised with the windows.

I wish stuff was better integrated into the gui like a fully resizeable mixer but the interface is getting updated at long last, hopefully that will make working in the FL environment more intuitive but i think that's a while off.

Still, don't get all the hate and bashing but i guess haters gonna hate! :P

I couldn't use a piece of software that so embarrassed of it's name that they resort to just the initials.

Silly argument and irreverent to most, such as polls it's subjective. In this day and age with regular updating you need a live and dynamic poll to be more accurate.

Software is not static, with each update and upgrade things change overnight so a yearly poll is rather useless(especially if your favored "DAW" loses).

FL Studio is by far the best host for me. I have tried them all too.

lolz, first off I think most of this is in jest. Second, they are not exactly the best/communication/friendliest of the daw companies :hihi: (think tony tony chopper or gol or whoever he is) so some people have some pent up shit. But I wouldn't know about that.

Jokes aside, I have no reason to bash FL Studio. It is daw and (almost) all daws are amazing. However, any demoed daw that does not make sense intuitively within the first 15 minutes of playing with it is a no go for me. A good daw is one that does not need big manuals. But maybe I am just a lazy lad or stupid like shit or both.

Nobody has used troll, entitlement or "no life" comments yet though. What's up with that?

+1

That's why i never really clicked with Reaper. :/ What i really liked is how Ableton and Podium include the help/manual inside the program. Although, as you said, with an intuitive program, that should hardly be necessary, but sometimes, of course, there is a function which can't be self explanatory.

For the second year running, MusicRadar users have voted FL Studio their favourite DAW.

The software began life as Fruity Loops, the phenomenally popular step-based beat/groove maker that's been used by aspiring producers the world over (Deadmau5 included). However, full-on DAW status was achieved some time ago - if you think that this is merely an entry-level application that only allows you to create loops, you need to take a second look.

FL Studio might not be for everyone, but if its workflow agrees with you, you'll never look back. There's even an iOS version now, and version 11 has kept the desktop version moving forward by adding a Performance mode, multitouch support, new synths and new effects. What's more, you get the feeling that there are even greater things to come.
Using the a proper super-advanced-algo such as this one:

var ranking = (daw_votes / warez_count)

Fruity Loops is at #1203

Congrats! You are the most popular daw to download off of TPB!

It's hard to tell when it comes to FL!

Edit: For those reasons but i thought people took major umbrage with FL winning. :hihi:

Just think what it would have been like if sonar would have won! :scared:

Lol. :)

Maybe some are just annoyed because it won twice without massive net campaigns. :hihi: Whenever someone suggests i go vote for my fave in one of these straw polls I usually go vote the underdog, Garageband.

Go Fruity!
