5 stars scoring

·1 star for Sound design/Sound selection
How the sounds matches the others, how beautiful or gritty they sound, how is the timbre.
·1 star for mix/mastering/production
Does it sound professional? Are all the sounds in their places? Final mastering and mix.
·1 star for duration/composition/attention factor
Could the participant express all he wanted in the whole tune? Was i paying attention the whole track or i was getting bored? Many repetitions/Short lenght (Less than 3 mins).
·1 star for liking/style
All people like more one style than another. Despite all the above. It could be a track with a poor mastering, or just lacks of feeling factor (see below) but after all, i liked the style or it is innovative.
·1 star for feeling factor
Did i love the track? Goosebumps? Was the track full of feelings and i could feel those feelings from the producer?

I will drop some comments in the 5 last tracks Soundcloud, i got blocked once again.

Here goes the mini-reviews i promised. Pros and Cons for participants i got permission.
Remember that i'm not a teacher, and i don't have the whole truth in the musical world, these mini comments are just feedback and very personal, from my own taste. So you don't have to take it as they are.
Kudos for those who want to improve theirselves.

z.prime - resolve
A very nice track with top notch sound production and mix/mastering. Complexity and beautiful timbres. Well done, mate

Cactoos - bottom
A very relaxing tune with new wave elements and a very nice choice of sounds.

NedK - Curve Tune
Very chilling and expressive track with a happy essence and mood.

nitedwella - Runaway
Pros: A energic song with interesting selection of sounds, drum parts, a few epic chords and a great bassline.
Cons: It needs more variety. Remember that you can put a slightly reverb in the snares, so they will fit better in the final mix. Good luck!

bjporter - Missile Command
Pros: Brian got me here with this epic and powerful tune. Everything is perfect. Specially the mix and mastering. Sounds professional, as usual. Well done.
Cons: It just needs a bit of variety and more organic/random/evolving sounds/composition. Don't be "squared" despite if it is Trance.

N.E.X. - Retroland
Awesome melodic and energic chiptune track. The PWM lead is just awesome. Well mastered and mixed.

Chilled Panda - on silver clouds
An interesting sort of space visual sountrack music.

Kondarivan - Between these whirlwinds
A very melodic track with very different parts on it. I specially loved the final guitar plucks melody.

Panphobia Blue Dunes
Happy mood melodies all over the place in a classical tune.

Mellotronaut sausage factory
A nice Spacey FX festival. Interesting textures and crazy composition.

Stunkit - Plane CM
When minimal and repetitive parts make a simple but effective track. Nice work with the bassline.

Doc Jon - (Don't Drink the) Heavy Water
Pros: Awesome modern crispy yet Jarresque track with perfect mix and great bassline and sequences. Energic!
Cons: It needs to be longer. I want more of this!

CrimsonWarlock - Chapter101: Distant Echoes
Pros: Unique electronic balad track with nice selection of drum sounds and moody melodies and chords. Relaxing and enjoyable.
Cons: You can do a better mix, some sounds can be tiny in comparison with others. Pay attention to the composition, do more variety (specially in the timbres, evolve your sounds) and use new sounds for different parts and you will improve your skills in no time. You will see it.

Pmj rit - The Inheritors
Pros: Such a misterious and dark melodic song with nice use of sounds, bass and chord progressions. I love the tension on it. It made remember of "Another World" video game soundtrack.
Cons: Use more different timbres, or the whole track will sound "monothematic" or "monotimbrical" (If these words ever existed). I know, you can do it the way you want, as it is your track, but have this in mind at least.

lemmike - Arctangent
Dark and minimal tune with great percussion and new interesting ideas coming all the way through. Very well produced!

Mordeith - Dunatic
A good trancey tune with basic elements which works nicely.

CymaticCreation - The Obsidian Tide
Unique yet beautiful haunting song here. Mesmerizing, dreamy and chilling. It got an easthern or egyptian touch that i love.

e@rs - CoMbu5ti0n5
Pros: Punchy and groovy modern track with nice basslines and insane electric sounds. Boom!
Cons: Remember to make more deviantions in the melodies, basslines, and different parts in the whole track. Don't be affraid of using or break the rules despite the style you are doing. I mean, don't be always following what House (or Trance, or Techno) means or how it has to be, or any other style, put your own ideas on them too, that will be your contribution to the musical world and this will make you a best musician. You will notice in time. And who knows, putting new ideas means new, derivates and innovative styles.

H-Man - Aalto-Nator

Mesmerizing and hypnotic tune with great FXs, melodies and... the wonderful sub-bass!

alexfoley - Tapping
Nice minimalistic yet chilling track which made remember of my first tunes. Minimalistic but effective.

Solidtrax - Parabola
Wonderful, groovy and funky house track. Perfect mix, and very well mastered. I can't believe the sounds are 100% synth. Awesome bassline.

SpectralBee - Darkwood Chase
Pros: Energic acid tune with nice FX sounds and evolving ideas coming in, that lead is hooking me. Nice mix and thick mastering.
Cons: Pay attention to pitches variations, don't make a track all the way thourgh in the same pitch, it can be very repetitive. And this kind of changes makes marvellous things in the listener ears.

besh_we(rde) - krieg die Kurve, Junge
Amazing and unique broken beat yet rhythmic in this tune. Perfect mix and clean mastering. That gritty bass is awesome!

Yeager - Proprioception
Funky electronic track with a retro and videogamish touch. Perfect mix and innovative ideas. The final arpeggio is great!

Bad Art - Dominated by Dominator
Simple track but effective. A tune which doesn't need big stuff, just a few well made chord progressions, a beautiful lead and a melodic rhithmic part.

Richard Semper - Joy of Flight OSC
Pros: Nice track with great vintage trancey secuences, chords and use of sounds. Well mixed too. I know that you were recording MIDI in real time, nice human touch.
Cons: It needs a bit of variety in the arrangment/composition. Pay attention to transitions between parts. Careful with the level of distortion, sometimes is good, but sometimes is too much. Once done, you will have the power to do amazing tracks, be patient, composition is difficult.

diagnosing rabies - questions & answers
Another unique but interesting track with repetitive motif all the way through that helps to focus in the abstract FX sounds.

Uriel Anthony - That's the One
Another energic track, fully danceable. With a nice slection of hooking melodies and epic chords. Very well mixed and mastered.

Full Bucket - See 'em S.O.S
Insane sequences and a nice raw hollow square bass in this tune. End's 80's experimental techno. This is another track which made remember of old Yuzo Koshiro soundtracks.

2forks Pirana - The Angel Of The House
Hypnotic and mesmerizing plucked and strung textures in a very interesting and promising idea. Smart use of the long tail reverb.

CavemanBeats - Curve - CM OSC
Relaxing housy track with nice progressive ideas coming in. Well mixed also.

Photonic - Golden Season
Such a nice balad from 80's 90's as usual. Great mix and composition and great sounds from that epoque. Very melodic.

Jasinski- KVR OSC CM special- Wither and Dither
Nice drum and beat sounds and gritty basslines. Interesting and complex composition and use of processed sounds. I'm still wondering how was made all these glitcheys. Perfect mix and sound design as usual.

Arkmabat - UIM: UnderwaterIntPlanetaryMining
A very melodic and hypnotic track without beat, it doesn't need it.

Skyzone - I saw you fly
Mesmerizing passages and typical sounds from Vangelis epoque. Nice sound design. Space music!

bzur - Science Affliction
Moody, smoothy, relaxing and spacey song. The melodic part and composition is the main Bzur ID and he does nicely always. Nice mix and very beautiful sounds.

Bachmaninoff - Amuse
Pros: Another Vangelisque track with beautiful sounds selection and interesting ideas coming in. That bassline is great.
Cons:

Loft Electronics - Bitter Lemon
Another unique and refreshing track, very interesting chiptune composition and enjoyable to listen to. Minimalistic and melodic. Simple and effective.

Vile Shadow - Unexpected Journey
Nice trancey track with a hooking melody line. Classic 80's Progressive Trance with a touch of Dream Trance.

psmacmur - Rave Infection
Pros: Nicely done track with breakbeat elements and big synth hooking lead melodies. Did someone say The Prodigy?
Cons: Use the effects wisely. Too much reverb can make a whole track sounds badly. There is a trick for this. Use the reverb in a way that you can slightly hear it, but at same time, it seems is not there. Be careful also to use too much reverb in bass or low frequencies. The reverb will wide the stereo of the bass, and you will want to have the bass in the center of the stereo, in mono, or very merged into mono. However, you are doing nicely with the rest of things.

Blaakk - Man With No Wind
Minimalistic track with nice and innovative background textures and smooth pads and plucky melodies. Relaxing and easy to listen to.

JPQ-Dream Of-Happiness
Easy to listen track with some nice ideas and chords.

JKF Flashico - To The Future
Kind of acid and retro chiptune song with some interesting pads sounds in the end. The bassline and main sequence work well too.

pedalsteeldrummer - Razor Girl
Very enjoyable electrofunk track. Nice mechanic sequences. Good kick plus bassline and nice interesting darky chords progressions. Well mixed too.

One Coin One Play - Breakdown #9
Simple track with nice amount of chord progressions and arps.

AboveThoughts - about thoughts and things
Noise is music when you know how to do it, you converted the noise in a musical context too, rhythmically and harmonically. Well done, no jokes.

Shortmanb - Wah Wub Dub
What a relaxing tune! Nice FXs dub ounds, great trumphet alikes, groove beat, nicely mixed. And a nice psychoacoustic trick very well handled in the last part.

Examigan - DuneTime
Nice sound design with this vintage alike track. I really love the chords and expressive leads. Interesting composition and very well mixed.

Alxiroy - Highway 90
Easy to listen track, enjoyable. Nice beat and a few good ideas.

Kaiyoti - Zebra Dream World
Short but intense track full of percussion elements and a few textures, very filmy and orchestral. The toms where very well made!

Loris D.S - One step closer
Refreshing track with surprising elements. The beat is well handled plus sidechains. The complextro sequences/bass and the japanesse style pads which are full of harmonics.

Andre Kurbel - Seismographic Seizures
Modern and nice dark clubbin track with techno signatures. All drum parts are very well pitched. Repetitive motif, but it works very well. This would sound very nice in a club.

manvanmars - Dunebug
Long time without listening Drum 'N' Bass, so this sounds fresh to me. Nice percussive parts and dub filtered chords.

OnTrackP - Fun Times
Marvellous melodic balad tune. It sets me in a happy mood. Nice beat and great chords progressions and arpeggios harmonically scaled.

D-Lay - Space war
A good spacey-trancey track with nice arps and chord changes. The distorted bass is also nice. Nice amount of good ideas coming in.

Saltline-Piasek
Beautiful and deep track. The TRACK, the ONE i was expecting of to be felt, well mixed, with interesting ideas coming in all the way through, perfect timbre sounds and relaxing. On top! Perfect. My favourite. If there would be 6 points to give, this one would be.

RuediRena - Untergehendes blaues Rauschen
Insane, a good mixtures of sub-genres, passages and good ideas. Nice use of sounds. Big!

Retrospect1015-Astral Plane
Videogamish style track with nice use of raw sounds. Some arpeggios and melody lines where really smooth and chilling. Nice for a RPG or retro adventure game.

ClaRago - Golden Horn
Awesome work with arps, melodic lead and bass sequence. Alltogether work nicely in this relaxing and mesmerizing tune with happy mood.

tonedef71 - Sleepless
Nice retro and vintage touch in the melodic track. The bassline is so nice and the FX are cool, specially the "vocoded" voices, good and fresh point here.

Animehaus - Dominium
Nice organ sound and chords in this 80's videogamish style tune. Nice acid bassline and melody lines.

mtyas - Flute alors
A wonderful chilling track for a lounge club. The percs are nicely done. The flutish melody is haunting and the bassline is marvellous.

Thrax - Lost Souls
Nice electronic track with a few tricks under the sleeve. I love the bass and main part mostly, but also it is full of melody lines and nice FX and pads. Well mixed.

Mulperi - Fall Of Dynasty
Pros: Perfect mix. Amazing 90's tune full of melodies and hooking leads with a beautiful timbre. The bass sequence sounds nice and the beat is great too. Another great track this month.
Cons: That bassline, althought the sequence is so good,it sounds a bit detuned. Careful when colsing the filter, it can be tricky to our ears.

Dakkra - I saw you
Nice hooking melodies and chords in this enjoyable trancey tune with nice percussive plucky elements. I was banging my head.

Ricardo Menegasso - Kraftwerk is not dead

Hell, I wasn't even able to comment on all the SoundCloud tracks as I would like to have had!

To all of you guys: Great job, fantastic tunes! :hail:

Cheers, Björn

BTW @Irion: Now do you ever sleep? :P

Post

Lol, well, i sleep all nights, not enough, tought! Just 5-7 hours.
Also i got apnea, so no matter how much time i'm sleeping, i can't rest properly.
Waiting for the doctor to call me to make some tests. I'm in a queue since 1 year and half which is laggy, but i know that it will be soon.

While i'm awake, i'm learning music and mastering, boosting my social websites, participating in some contests, doing the soundbanks for synths i'm going to release soon, i'm reading a couple of auto-help books (my life never was easy), looking for jobs, and having some time with girlfriend, my cat, a couple of good friends (not many), playing some videogames to get new inspiring ideas and cold down all the pressure and doing the typical day day things.
To all this, add that i'm volunteer to help families in risk of social exclusion (funny enough that i'm one of the families) and attending some english classes.

And still, i would like to have enough time to make more music, to paint like i was doing when i was younger and some other things.
I know, someday i will explode in the middle of streets and i won't notice what just happened, lol. I'm wasted.

Anyway, my mini reviews weren't a big deal, really, just wanted to contribute somehow.

Well, have a nice day. :)
