As the vote results itself obviously proves everyone has full confidence, I just thought I'd say for the record that although Bjporter is part of the admin team he never had access to the voting results and didn't know a thing about the standings, it was never asked and never divulged. Not that he would vote differently or that it would even matter if he did, just saying.
And as the CM competition was decided by an open rules vote here, everyone knew at the exact same time it would be coming up so obviously no one - whether on the admin team or otherwise - could have gotten any advantage by an early start.

Congratulations to the winners , thanks everyone for comments, votes and especially sharing great music. When is the next "CM" OSC where we would all have to use a different synth from this one ?

Even though I didn't win, I feel that I got more exposure this way, and hope people liked my music.

Deserved winners imo, although just about everyone submitted great music, which made it quite hard to choose 'the best'.
Gonna try to participate(and finish the tracks:) more often, it is kinda nice to have people listen to your music... Most tracks I make are just sitting on my hd, don't even bother putting them on sc or whatever so this was a nice change of pace...
Thanks to everyone involved for organizing this compo (the OSC people, CM and ofcourse the other participants), great job!

Congratulations to Brian, Z.prime, Solidtrax, Kraftraum, and Jasinski on capturing the top five placements in this OSC contest!! Well done!

Kudos to everyone who submitted a track for this monumental OSC -- the closeness of the final scores is telling of just how good all of these tracks sounded to your fellow entrants.
... ad infinitum ...
It is my pleasure to make another shout-out to all of the folks who have shared (or who still plan to share) their custom synth presets with the rest of the KVR community. Thank you -- your generosity is an inspiration to us all!
And as always, a very-special hats-off to all those who made this event possible and who helped make it to be such a success!
Despite being the OSC with the largest submission turnout (75 entrants), it may also be the OSC with the poorest voting turnout per capita: it appears that there was only a single vote from a non-entrant, and three of the entrants did not vote at all! Perhaps the sheer number of entries turned off some of the veteran OSC voters. Also, the "40 KVR posts" rule might have inhibited voting from some of the newest KVR members (e.g. Computer Magazine subscribers who recently joined KVR after learning about the OSC in a recent CM issue) who did not enter a track in this OSC.
On a personal note, I was happy to break the 200 point threshold and make it into the top 61% of placements, which is my personal best showing yet. My placements had been improving with each subsequent OSC -- that is, until the previous one, which was my worst showing. Thank you so much to the two voters who sent those extra-special 5-point votes my way -- much appreciated!!!!
So proud to be a part of this fine community. See you all around the KVR!

Surprisingly good tracks this month. Computer Music Magazine put in a lot of effort to this, with the article in CM197 (and previous issue), and several Facebook posts, and gathering prizes behind the scenes. That was nice of them. I was really happy to see Kaiyoti this month, as he won OSC#1 - such a legend here - he was teasing us really with his shorter track - monstrous drums.
Voting is always difficult as tastes change day to day, and of course there is no perfect criteria and so many characteristics of a track to consider.
Producing tracks of course is another thing. In the end for me is the question: Would I actually listen to my own track after OSC? Listening to my last OSC tracks : DeLorean was a bit droning - but works sometimes when I'm in a good mood. Storm was nothing special musically - slightly boring. Selenium sucks - just lifeless to me - I just skip to the breakdown melody which is nice. With Missile Command, I really think is one of the few OSC tracks I've worked on that I can listen to, so while the voting and prizes fade away, a good track will stay with you for a long time.
Thanks for all the comments, and particularly Solidtrax for telling me that I should increase the bass volume more which was nice to hear. I like to hear what I can improve on.
Prize: Would like to take U-He Diva home, but may have to sneak her through the window? If this tryst is found out... may be kicked out
Ok, Z.prime, passing the ball to you - please pick a prize.

Hey, congratulations everyone!
Good job, Bjporter & Z.prime & Solidtrax & Kraftraum & Jasinski!
Also, sorry for not voting on this one. I had part of the list prepared but then my internet connection got awful and Soundcloud pretty much stopped working - and right now I still got to listen to some of the tracks; more awesome stuff to discover, so to speak.
Congratz again!

Congrats to the winners. Was definitely fun.
@bjporter, I'm no legend :P, the first OSC also only had 6 contestants.
I think the OSC was definitely a good idea, but the draw back was that it made it tough for me to vote. I've used about 10% of the plugins on CM magazine, and the rest I've never used or touched. Not very easy to know if the person skill should receive extra appraisal based on the synth. But it looks like DUNE was amongst the most popular synth so I will hunt for that issue of the magazine and have a try.

Congrats to the winners, great tracks. The quality of compositions and production is very impressive to say the least.
For me that was the biggest fun, pushing the CM-101 to see how far it would go. I also thought it to be a fitting choice as it was the first ever CM-synthesizer to be released. However, I'm aware that the 'musical style' of my track is not exactly 'favorite' in the OSC. I have no problem with that, It's my own choice to enter such a track of course. Also the mix/production of my track was certainly not up there with most of the other tracks. If I would have had more time (personal issues made me start late) I maybe could have made a better version mix-wise. This was, for me, the major flaw in my track.
In the end I broke the 200 points as well, meaning that the average vote on my track was closer to three points then two points. I'm very happy with that result, especially because I wouldn't have given my own entry five points anyway because of the sub-par production
Everything counted it was a great first time for me to participate
Finally, I'm not in it for the prizes, as I'm obviously a freeware advocate. So even if I would have won, I would have declined the prize and shifted the prizes one down the tally. I didn't want to mention that before, as it might have influenced the voting. Although scoring a year's subscription on CM would have actually been nice

BJ! Well deserved.
My congratulations to the winners.
A big thank you to the organization team. This was a lot of work (realating synths to the entries and all).
I am off for some months. Breathing fresh air.
Have fun, you all.

Congrats to Brian, congrats to the other winners and congrats to everyone on a great tracks!
I agree with kayoti, it's hard to vote for sound design if you have not used all of the synths.
It would be good to see an average vote next to the points.
