Here are 5 ideas, 5 synths which have entered the legend and definitively a Great part of the History:

Yes please!
I totally agree. All the essential is done in NoiseMaker, but some aspects need upgrades and improvements, and it should be a wonderful plan for months of neat work and with the result of one of the major virtual instruments at the league of some among those done by Urs.

Further more... many people (including me and certainly all here) claim, beg for this update for nearly two years.

We should write a petition to send to Patrick !

I don't think there's anyone claiming that they have an indistinguishable emulation of the 303, but I also think that no developer wants the PR headache of trying to make an indistinguishable version of such a mythologised synth. It attracts obsessives who'd probably bash it for being only a 99.9% emulation.
Honestly, I can't see why anyone would be looking to attempt yet another 303 emulation when there are so many already.

Antto has recently done Venom, a free TB 303, its just not 64bit.

yeah, if they dont like dongles they must continue to use the old hardware then.

The LE version of the EMS doesn't need a dongle, only the full version.

If they had the hardware they wouldnt waste money on inferior software

Lots of those examples are also-rans or pretty old. Are there any based on circuit simulation? Seems to me that the cons outweigh the pros, when it comes to trying to create a 303 emu that has claims of extreme accuracy. Even the x0xb0x appears to get looked down upon quite a bit. The original model carries a cultish sense of mystique.

well,i dont want to derail this thread into another dongle pro/contra debate so i'm off with that. fact ist that Xils-Lab have great recreations of Syntex and EMS (the copy-protection is a different story) but not to mention them here only because of their dongle usage goes to far.

He should stop wasting his time on more emulations. He has proved he can do it, time to move on and do something original for a change :)

Emulations sell. Ask N.I. or U-HE

Have you tried the latest version of DiscoDSP's Discovery? It's pretty spot on for a Nord emulation now.

I bet if Tal did an updated version of Noizemaker, with the latest filters and stuff, people would buy it as well. Nor is Diva or Zebra as such an emulation. I mean, I don't expect them to come up with an all new synthesis technology, so there will always be certain similarities with existing stuff. But I just don't find it good that Tal seems to limit their expertise in recreating already limited hardware, that the original developers would probably update as well if they had the means software offers.

I bought Supersonico 2 recently, after a longer time of not buying anything. It was not expensive or anything, but it is original/unusual with its harmony sliders.

The OB8
otherwise I'd like for someone to try an Andromeda. I almost got one made in SE. No longer made and get the manual to see how complex that beast is.
