I do think that what WaveGenerator offers in terms of wavetable flexibility is a fair bit more than 'something'. Being able to draw the path that the oscillator takes through the wavetable rather than just the one linear path makes a massive difference in itself. I do concede that single cycle import and a few more options (maybe in a future update? who knows?) would be nice but, for me, Audio-Term solves the problem nicely. As a bit of a wavetable/PPG fan I have to say that no sotfware has put a smile on my face this year as much as this combo has!pdxindy wrote:I suppose nothing to something qualifies as a quantum leap, but not being able to import a single cycle wave means it is a tedious task to draw many dozens of waves by editing partials... And Audio_Term is PC only... so of no use to me.

Isn't this thread about synths that were released in 2013? I think you've got a couple of ringers in there.Phase47 wrote:Top 5:

Did not know that. If it's only synths that were released in '13, then it would be:dexterbella wrote:Isn't this thread about synths that were released in 2013? I think you've got a couple of ringers in there.Phase47 wrote:Top 5:

In that order. Very close between 1 and 2.

I thought the same. I never even looked into it until today.Tricky-Loops wrote:That's exactly what I thought, too. I was surprised that it's a synth on its own.musikmachine wrote:I actually though it was just a tool for generating waves for the PPG synths.
...can't afford it after having bought Maschine, and I'm a little disinclined to spend that much without a demo. Still, seems like it'd be very nice.

Razor 1.5 has just been released and it is amazing. Whole new levels of functionality have been added.dexterbella wrote:Isn't this thread about synths that were released in 2013? I think you've got a couple of ringers in there.Phase47 wrote:Top 5:

Spire gets my top vote at the moment.
I also love Rayblaster, and it might get my vote if it didn't actually come out last year.
tone2 looks like they have knocked it out of the park with Nemesis, so my vote might change after picking it up and using it for a few weeks.

LOL I don't know why the "sort yourself out" line gets me to chuckling so hard!FXBox wrote:TAL Bassline 101 sounds like crap , sort yourself out KVR
Monark and Spire are great
I haven't tried TAL so I wouldn't know, and... eh... the only synth I've bought from this year is Monark, and it hasn't arrived yet...
Imagine that's what it'll be.
