Only two posts to FXBox name, both related to TAL, a suspicious synchronicity of events
Would be interesting to see if his IP address, would correlate with some other user in here

Still waiting for a concise list of what actually came out this year.
Not including updated synths from previous years.
I think the count is four at this point?
(Monark, Spire, Spectral; Nemesis)?

While it's refreshing to read yet more personal attacks on KvR, I'll suggest the possibility that since most here have agreed on all kinds of fundamentally false stuff, like some "emulations" sounding remotely similar to the original, even when anyone could clearly hear that that isn't the case, then widespread "agreements" on these forums often have no touch with reality. Anyone who spends much time on these forums should be careful not to get detached by myths and "facts" (like "very few people like the SH-101 sound" or "it accurately emulates"). In the meantime, everyone can try to get their "virtual analog" synth filter to sound as good (not even saying "similar") as the "farty" old SH-101's. I mean it should be pretty easy, since we're clearly far beyond the point of "good enough", based on what these forums make people believe.ariston wrote:No, I think he's trying to say "I'm a doofus. Of course everybody knows best, but it's nevertheless fascinating to read this conclusive verdict from a publisher who has been in the game for 20 years:
"TAL-BassLine-101 is the most convincing virtual SH-101 yet - if that's the sound you're after, this is the synth to get."

If it sounds farty on your computer, then it is most probably time to ditch that 486 system and buy a new one

Even a well rounded fart sound is still a fart sound.
That was to give it a better than 'steaming pos' possibility in sound.
BTW, I sold and used the original SH-101. It was fun to play, but I have no real fond memories of it.
I have fonder memories of my old 486.
But I run Xeons now and have no regrets.
