Yes, I Agree that a VST can receive pc messages also in the case of just one program declared to host... but is up to the host the routing of pc messages to vst plugin ... some host can avoid this if the the programs declared do not match the pc (but it's my speculation that vmachine act like this). I've tried SQ8L right now and yes, everything works as I expected because SQ8L declare 512 programs to host!

V-Machine even has an option to choose how it behaves regarding program changes - it can either route them to the plugin, or instead switch programs (V-Machine setups).

Yes, with this option you can route the pc to the internal preset manager first and the to the vst or just only the vst, skipping the vmachine presets management ... I've tried these options but no success at all!
