only to find you cannot activate the authorisation if your pc is offline - needs a direct internet connection - I downloaded the demo - before trying asked the question to WP, so it's a no go for me currently....Shy wrote:Not you, no worries in any case. yeah, thats really a shame. they have to work out how to register with offline DAW. to exotic?breakmixer wrote:only to find you cannot activate the authorisation if your pc is offline - needs a direct internet connection - I downloaded the demo - before trying asked the question to WP, so it's a no go for me currently....Shy wrote:Not you, no worries in any case. Edit: "You need a working internet connection when asked for the activation code" can also be readed that it not had to be the DAW. anybody confirm?
Whoever wants music instead of noise, joy instead of pleasure, soul instead of gold, creative work instead of business, passion instead of foolery, finds no home in this trivial world of ours.

Browsing through the favorite 2013 soft synths on Music Radar atm, and i must say, i like stuff like that.
Of course, it's more a meter of what people like, than what's really the best, but who really takes that 100% serious? Even if they would rate them after what synth got the best ratings in reviews, it would be rather down to the testers taste, and as we all know, it's very subjective.

What is Cycle. I Google Cycle VST and get nothing.
There's different favorites for different things. Massive is total favorite all around workhorse. Razor is extra thick and creamy goodness (plus favorite vocoder). Omnisphere, also good for pads, arps, basses. Nemesis became new favorite for stabs and fx. Gladiator never fails to surprise me. Spire favorite thing I'd use all the time but can't afford.

True, but I don't think there is some 1980's Lada model among thosechk071 wrote:Browsing through the favorite 2013 soft synths on Music Radar atm, and i must say, i like stuff like that.Of course, it's more a meter of what people like, than what's really the best, but who really takes that 100% serious? Nevertheless which taste one got, I would doubt if anybody should feel ripped off or swindled buying any of them

Well by that list, I only have three. But one I consider to be 'Reaktor/Razor' and only one other is in my current top five. (Massive has to keep fighting Z3ta+2 for the tenth position).osiris wrote:http://www.musictech.net/2013/09/software-synths/
Thanks for posting the link though, I was beginning to wonder what it was.
