Hey guys,

Sorry if this has already been addressed somewhere. If it has, please kindly direct me to the thread. :D

Anyway...as the Subject suggests, I'm wondering if it's possible to use AAX plugins in non-Avid programs, specifically Reaper (that's the DAW I'm using)? Wasn't sure if there is some kind of host plugin available that can load AAX plugins.

New to the forum, and still learning the ins and outs of recording/Reaper.

Thanks, guys

I believe the license agreement for AAX forbids such things.
Free plug-ins for Windows, MacOS and Linux. Xhip Synthesizer v8.0 and Xhip Effects Bundle v6.7.
The coder's credo: We believe our work is neither clever nor difficult; it is done because we thought it would be easy.
Work less; get more done.

I've never heard of someone using AAX plugins in REAPER, so I think it isn't possible...

Thanks for the fast response, guys. Figured as much.

I was curious because I found some great free plugins for mixing, but sadly they're only available in AAX format :( Guess I'll just have to search for something comparable :/
