Is it possible to create dummy automation clips on sends/buses/master etc. in the clip launcher view? I've tried setting up a clip on the master channel to automate some filter cutoff and stuff but as soon as I launch it it stops all the audio coming through. Anyone know a way round this? Obviously once you're in the arrangement timeline it's all good but it would be nice to launch FX clips while messing around in clip view.

you can convert the mater track to an instrument or hybrid track (its an audio track by default). then you can just add a note clip, which doesn't cut off the incoming audio the way audio clips do. You can of course also use the notes there as input to effects on the master track..

I signed up to KVR to post this, loving Bitiwg atm, though it's not quite polished enough for me to switch yet, here's my FRs:

1- Fading and stretching in the arrange view
2- Crossfades
3- Midi velocity fades in arrange
4- Dual edge resizing / stretching for adjacent clips
5- Middle click should be used navigation of device chains, but when in modulation mode middle clicking on a parameter will have the same behaviour as left clicking - needs fixing
6- Mode for snap only to grid (no "floating" halfway between grid lines)
7- Multiple outputs on tracks (see Reaper)
8- more flexible track height
9- some sort of arrangement tool (like Reason's blocks, or Reaper's regions)
10- Selectable oscillators in FM-4 (ie. saw, square etc.)
11- Better tool shortcuts, you can't hot switch via holding one of the numbers and use a modifier at the same time (ie. shift for disabling snap)
12- Ability to save in demo mode (remove the ability to load projects, so you don't end up losing ideas but are still compelled to buy the software, possibly even more so because you would be able to open all your projects again)
13- Option to change behaviour so all knobs/faders etc. can be adjusted via dragging vertcally - horizontal dragging really wierds me out
14- Track folders and track grouping (faders, pan, mute solo etc.)
15- Change gain/velocity of clips in arrange
16- Envelope MOD - triggered via midi, option for mono or polyphonic modulation
17- Multiple plugin outputs

Sorry that's quite a long list, lots of them are little niggles that I can probably live with, but it'd be great to see some of this stuff implemented

How about some demo projects that can be downloaded for people giving the demo a whirl, for starters?

I work with win 8 64bit, running 32bit Synthmaster (but tried 64bit ,too). The problem: Bitwig finds Synthmaster, you can load it, but the Waveforms get changed on most of the presets. It seems specially sequenced and arpegiated presets are affected.
Shit! Hope Sampletank 3 comes out soon!
Told the problems the support. No answer till yet....

Nr4 would be to good to become true. Don´t think it will ever be planned.....

something id really like to see in bitwig is
an A-B crossfader

I thought of something else

18- Proper sends to/from any track, including midi only sends (with ability to be channel specific/ route midi to different channels)

Wow, that is weird. The whole Synthmaster GUI feels very sluggish too and I see what you mean with the waveforms. I'll report it too, so hopefully it can be fixed fast.
I hardly ever use Synthmaster so this slipped through...

Yeah, I hope IK is getting their stuff together this time. Although I'm not very confident about their overall dedication and not sure if I will update. There's more interesting plugins to be had these days as far as I'm concerned.

Cheers,

When in clip view and using follow actions, Bitwig does not give a signal which clip is on deck like Live does. Would be good to add that.

Rex support and Rewire
MIDI routing
Group tracks
Separate device lists for instruments and plugins (having everything together is a confusing mess)
Track templates
Media selection and syncing features like Reaper's media explorer
Being able to host Bitwig as a plugin!
Fades
Full vertical track zoom
Multiout instrument support
Sample selection feature in drum sampler for creating "128s"

Fast development with numerous bug fixes and new features regularly like Cockos, not like Steinberg or Ableton (so far so good).

The SM gui is always sluggish in linux-wine when not using bitwig,
so it may be SM gui issue more than a bitwig issue.
U-he, NI, IK gui don't lag, on the same system.

I would like to see:

-a track delay( always use that for basslines )
-then a marker track for the arrangeview. ( ah, there are these cue markers, thats fine..nice!)
-proper panning like in cubase (putting the tool plugin on every track just for panning is not super cool imo)
-surround Output (since its aimed for sound design, would be great..also for game sound designers etc)
-custom shortcuts

more added later ;)

and the other stuff you guys mentioned :D

Ability to put some notes to self about the project.
Something like Ableton Live's Edit Info Text. Or the notes in OhmStudio.
