So who can explain Fractal Resonance to me? I like what it does, but I've no idea what it's doing.

I'm no expert, but fractal geometry is where a pattern is repeated at various scales. For example, let's say you have a fractal waveform which appears "random" at first glance (not particularly symmetrical). If you were to look at it closely and zoom in, you would see the exact same pattern repeated but at a finer scale, or a "waveform within a waveform" so to speak. And if you zoomed in again to that portion of the waveform, again you'd see the same pattern repeated but at an even finer (or higher frequency / shorter wavelength) scale.

So what is happening to the waveform when you turn that knob? Are we somehow zooming in on it or adding scaled repeats of the waves to create harmonics or something?

The manual is very clear about fractal resonance (diagrams!). It's multiple repetitions of the waveform in a single cycle, and a shapely amplitude window applied over that whole length. The fractalize value determines how many repetitions, 2^(1+fractalize).

the scope is good to view whats doing on.
I think more interesting is to view the harmonics using spectrogram or similar, this shows how the two waveforms relate in what we hear.

So, after hearing about this mystical "Bazille" all over KVR, I was kind of hoping I'd have some sort of reason to not buy it. Not looking good....
