I'd like to sweep through the overtones... I mean modulate the pitch by overtone number rather than in semitones -but the modulation is only in semitones even when osc is in overtone mode... could there be an overtone mode modulation setting?

is there another way of doing this? can't even do it with the mapping generators as they are integer only and overtones are impossible to express in integer multiples of semitones
Actually, the "rel coarse" FM mode does the trick. I don't have the right values in my hand, but with a bit of quantisation or Maps you can *multiply* the frequency by integer amounts. Those are overtones.

It is possible to do the same with the +/- 50 semitone option, but the Maps must have a logarithmic scale. Possible, but agreeably tedious to set up. (There are going to be Howie presets though that do stuff like that)
Using Rel Coarse set to 100 and modulated by a mod mapper set to Map quantize and the modwheel (or whatever you want)... set the mapper to 6 steps and the values 0, 20, 40, 60, 80, 100 and you get the first 6 overtones

you can also use midi learn (integer setting) and manually sweep the overtones with the modwheel

Will the scale GUI by 10% increments be coming to DIVA et al.?

:band2: I like UI scaling in steps of 10% ! :band:

Nice update!

Is there anyway of changing the colour scheme for the gearporn UI?

Create a "Scripts" folder in the custom theme folder you've created, and copy Bazille_gp.txt there, but rename it to Bazille.txt. All done! :tu:

This is the preferred way of doing user-side changes to factory GUIs, because these won't be overwritten when you update the plugin via installer.

EDIT: I'm gonna try and do a green version right now.

EDIT 2: Here's an example of how green version could look!

OK, i see, that works, I was trying to modulate pitch using the tune modulation input, it didn't occur to me that it could be done using the phase modulation input.

is there some confusion between pitch and phase modulation? it seems to me that the rel coarse setting is really pitch modulation not phase modulation, I don't really get what is happening here. Is it just me that is confused or is there some categorisation confusion in the setup?

I've also done a bazille theme, I was going to wait until I'd refined it some more, but since its a thing...

I kept EvilDragon's green knobs, and changed the background colours and the wire colours.

how do you set a map to have a logarithmic scale? do you scale the output with something else?

The Multi channel guitar mode is great to have, unfortunately it is unusable with midi guitar because of the pitchbend filtering/glide.

Could we please, please have the option to turn this filtering/glide off?

Thanks for the alternate GearPorn GUIs

You can do it as a Theme, without any loss. However, I can't explain that right now. Maybe someone else can chime in, EvilDragon? - It's basically the same thing we did with Zebra's Unempty Dark Horse skin.
What one needs to do is go to Support/Themes folder and create a new folder with the name of your custom theme. Copy the whole Images folder (from the base Data folder) in this new folder. Now you can batch-edit those images to change their hues, etc.

Very Matrix like... I love it. I don't think I can work with it on a regular basis, but that's besides the point. Nice green version!

Long standing feature request. Will see what we can do!
