Always can try oldskool way: cut slices by hand and rearrange in sequencer. Maybe eat more time, but now is trully unlimited.

Ah, isn't there any tool out there that loads wav files, slices them automatically by rhythm and saves the seperate one shot wavs of them? :D :love:

beatcleaver isn't VST but a tool which is great for that:

I didn't use it but it's an advanced sampler and it has beatslicer capabilities. And it's free.

There's always the "dynamic split" feature in Reaper, although it's more fiddly than a beatslicer would be.
