Yeah.

Tracktion 2: Buggeracktion. It hurts. But it works!
Mackie and Ableton?

Some Live 4 feedback...
I had issues trying to launch Live 4 from within Tracktion. No issues with P5, FL, Vsampler e.t.c. but starting Live 4 after Tracktion ensured Live started in rewire mode anyway.
I could not record properly into Tracktion though the rendered file was not complete. Some areas of the file were missing.
Live 4 is much smoother to use for me.
Very odd too see a default project open with two audio tracks and two midi tracks!
Export midi clips...is this really Ableton Live?
Double clicking in a blank area of a midi track brings up the piano roll all very smooth indeed.
Everything fits so well. It's like Live has always had a piano roll!
Click once to add a note on the grid and click again to remove very quick and easy.
Love the way you can just drag the piano roll up to fill the whole screen.
Impulse is so quick and easy to use drag and drop all the way.

All sounds attractive, and pricing of €500 is about £330. However that's nearly double Live 3 price which can still be had for £170 or so.
The upgrade from 3->4 is circa €100 (less if you buy it now) - so that seems a cost effective way of buying Libve4 is to buy Live3 and upgrade.
