Does anybody have a real Odyssey to compare mono/duophonic patches?
I've owned both a MK II and MK III over the years and Oddity2 stands up incredibly well against those models. The 4035 filter model (Moog based filter) has a very different character again to that in Diva or Monark (or The Drop for that matter). Not better or worse, just different.

In fact, I love passing Oddity1/2 through The Drop for a little thickening/sweetening, they make for very good bedfellows. Doing that classic MS 20 style HP filter trick via the SMP model in The Drop adds some lovely harmonic richness to the lower frequencies.

The 15 minute walkthrough video Dave Spiers posted of the original ARP Odyssey is a very good place to start when comparing the mono/duophonic patches.

Just updated this a little to add waveform selector buttons to the OSC pages (as well as the mixer as per the ARP layout) - just thought it would be useful to have them in that section too.

Nice video - interesting.

It would be great to hear Oddity playing that final song as a comparison.

The other thing I've noticed about Oddity2 that I really like is that they've remodelled the 4023 filter model (original filter from the MK 1 Odyssey). This is probably my favourite filter model of the three as it's so easy to create sounds to cut through a mix with their own space without the need for any extra EQ or such like.

Really great that you get all three filter models and that each model provide such individual characteristics.

Yeah something is definitely iffy with bank loading/preset changing... trying the demo out.

Seems that after you load the .pbk bank file, Oddity2 doesn't report the change of presets to the host. Likewise, if I change the preset in the host, it doesn't refresh the preset name in the plugin GUI. Some other plugins do it correctly (example: LinPlug Albino 3, Spectral). I suspect this is what trips aMUSEd up with his Kore template.

This needs to be fixed :)

Finally managed to install it, gee the AV was insisting it was malware 8)

It sure sounds good, the Angel Breath patch for instance, like from some Art of Noise song :) There is quite some crackling, though. The CPU monitor does not show more than 50% on any core, but it sure sounds like it is too much for my CPU.

And I wish the interface were bigger, like with Imposcar.

So, how does one uninstall it? Just deleting the two dll's?

I made this with the Mac VST so I am not 100% certain this will work across platforms though - if I have a chance I will make a Windows one too on my laptop if it doesn't.
Tested this on Windows now - the good news is the template works for the Win VST too - the bad news is the import bug also affects the Windows version.

Anyone knows where can i find all these Banks of Sounds for it?

Click the LOAD button on the interface, it will open the dialog, in which you select "Presets" folder. That's it.

enjoying the demo.
love the sound . love the filters. much better than oddity1.
especially the 4035 for bass is awesome. but all the filter types are useful and complement each other well .
however 2 issues putting me off from buying it at the current price :
-GUI is very difficult to read on an high resolution screen (after couple of hours with it my eyes were strained)
-the lack of oscillator sines (as the original ok but...)...I think it would be cool when a saw is selected if the PW control could morph the sawtooth to a sine. would add a lot more flexibility.
apart from that with all the other new added extra features could be almost a workhorse synth.

Nice one! Good balance of performance and audio quality. :)

Great sound and looks great too. My only gripe is the GUI is too small to read properly.
Would be great to see a larger or resizable GUI.
