If your computer got an internet access : by default tkDelay will check for available updates every once in a while (you can disable that in the preferences if you want), and will show you the change log if there is a more recent version than the one you are using.
But yes, I'll build the newsletter sometime, and send a mail when there's an update or a new product.
Also, if you're into that social network move, you can 'follow' tritik over there (see signature below). I will not post tons of things I promess, mainly interesting info about the releases. I built up a facebook page too. So feel free to check it, and like, share, etc. ;)

Yes I got a notification (after I posted the above LOL). I've left it enabled, thanks :)

Charles, I bought the early version and PM'd you a few weeks ago to thank you. The latest version is even better. The filtering options are excellent. Thank you again for creating such a good plugin.

Awesome! Well done tritik! Great Delay, great demo, great price, and great customer service. That's 4 out of 4!

Can I ask what future plans for the excellent tkDelay? :)

Also, are you planning on working on any other effects?

Sure you can!
I'm glad to see that users are eager to know what's coming next!
One thing that has been asked by several users is a brighter/more constrasted user interface.
So that's something I'll look into soon!
Ducking as been mentioned a few times also, and is something I would like to have in tkDelay too.
For now I'm not sure when it will be there, but I hope to add it in a future release.
But don't worry, I will maintain the uncluttered gui!

Those are the 2 main things I think (there's a few other minor ones I'd like too look at).

Yes. I already started to work on something else actually… ;)
But the research/development process of a professional quality plugin is something that takes a lot of time, and I still have a lot of work to do on it! So I won't say anymore about that before at least a few months!

I do care a lot about users, and it's always interesting to hear requests/ideas/wishes, so don't be shy to pm/mail me if you got some!

Really glad to see you're keeping the unrestricted demo model here (5 second wait seems fair). I hope it works for you, Cableguys seem to be doing alright with a similar model.

Myself, i find that the more generous the demo, the more i can get to know if a plugin is useful to me. As soon as i started using it in my own productions (something i couldn't practically do with more restrictive demos) I knew it was a keeper. I guess the same principle applies with u-he's public betas, having the time to use a plugin in a realistic manner allows me the time to determine if it's something i will continue to use.

I'm looking forward to seeing what's next with this and other plugins.

This plugin is quite CPU eater, on a blank project in FL Studio 11.1.1 64bit plugin version takes 3% of i7 4790k @4ghz. And thats only when opening 1 instance. No sound being played.

Post

I do care about the cpu charge, and tkDelay is already optimized in many aspects (algorithm, SSE..), but I will do my best to reduce the cpu charge even further.
Meanwhile other users reported it to be pretty fine, either privately or on kvr :

But sure, thanks, I'll keep on looking at it, and try to improve that as far as it can be!

3% on an i7 is huge, something else is causing that, it is much lower than that here.

If you are changing the UI color scheme please make it optional, dark less contrasty is much better for me personally.
Any chance of a bypass switch for the delay section, liking the sound of the filter and drive on their own haha
Duh

I quite like the current scheme too, although optional skins are always nice to have.

CPU 1% here.

i7 with CPU throttling off - min and max speed set to 100% - High Performance mode.

If I set the power plan to a power saving mode, the CPU hit is 5%.

CPU throttling can really slow things down. Turn it off if it isn't already.

I was very surprised to read about high CPU performance with tkDelay
as Charles really puts a lot of sweat into it, to have best possible results.

To take this issue off from dev shoulders, I had the same basic impressions:

1. daws do react and treat plugins differently,
the first thing I would do is a cross check with different daws, e.g. Reaper demo
and maybe a 32bit vs 64bit check.
If there is an obvious problem with a specific daw, I am sure the dev takes care after report.

2. at least on W7, a quick check can be done to see if it is related to energy profile:
http://support.presonus.com/entries/203 ... Studio-One

scroll down and download audio-power-settings.zip,
it is OS related and works with any daw, doesn`t do any harm and can be switched on/off on energy settings.

On W8 this can also be checked with various default energy settings.
Intel i7-4790K | Gigabyte Z97X-UD3H | 32GB Crucial Ballistix Sport | RME Babyface Pro | UAD PCIe Octo, Quad | Asus GT 730 | W11 Pro | S1 v6.5

CPU reads about 6% on a 2009 MBP 2.53 core2duo @ 256 buffer. Fabfilter Timeless reads at 9% for the same kind of patch. Boz imperial delay reads at 6% too. I don't see any problems with TK Delay. Actually really hard to beat such a quality delay at this price. Charles did an amazing job.
