Most synths *don't* have audio rate modulation of all parameters - ACE does (along with FM and sync). And if you don't think Zebra, Diva, and Bazille are workhorse synths I don't know what to tell you. They have different strengths but they're all deep, full-featured, highly capable synths. "Limited" is hardly a word I would use.

oops sorry i pmed you by mistake, i never said these are not workhorse synths, or most synth work "audiorate" i don't know what you are talking about in your answers..bazille is my most used softsynth and one of the few i really like the sound so offcourse it's a workhorse for me , no need any fx to impress, the osc are not really raw sounding but i still enjoy a lot the overall sound. probably belong in my top 10 favorite digital synth i used in 20 years .
About audiorate most synth have syncro and/or fm.why you would like limitation like this in soon 2015 and on a plugin ? it would bother me less on a limited analog with amazing sounding osc and filters but here we talk plugins.

about hive it cost the same as bazille and just have superssaw? that supersaw osc could have been implemented in z3 insteed of making a new synth to me..i don't really understand this synth.

i feel sorry to spread bad vibes but it's just what i m feeling.

You are making the mistake in thinking that what you want is what everyone wants. Some people are very happy with and actually prefer a simple synth. Lots of people asked Urs for one, so here it is. Sylenth is one of the more popular synths ever and it is even simpler than Hive.

My thinking is more like yours... I would take Bazille any day over Hive. But we are the minority and there is nothing wrong :-)

That said, Hive is really fun to use, and super fast and sounds really good. The simple fast and targeted synth is its own feature too and has its own value.

It may not seem like it, but there is a lot of variability to be had in the seemingly simple setup. I suggest just exploring Hive without a preconceived idea of what you want or think it should have. Why not have some fun with it? It isn't going to be your dream synth. :-)
