Yeah, i've been into old school synth programming lately. Mostly the 80s and 90s.Tricky-Loops wrote:Did you use a Madonna song straight from the 80ies?
(Of course, they had nearly the same waveforms and filters in the 80ies, so it shouldn't be too difficult to make 80-styled old school music with Hive, too, not only modern EDM!)
That said, some more - creative - waveforms could give Hive more flavor, not only the usual bread-and-butter sounds (yes, I know, you can modulate everything, but I'm a musician, not a modulator!). Really, I cannot hear the usual waveforms saw, sine, triangle, square (pulse), noise etc. anymore, why not add some really creative waveforms?
I'm still waiting for new features & improvements, then I might buy it next year. But I don't need just another bread-and-butter synth, it should have a special flavor (not only the 3 engines).
Right now for more complex sound i've been using synthmaster and electra2.
Btw Urs already confirm that he'll be adding tools to add custom waveform and that will make Hive much better.
I'm actually looking for bread-and-butter synth currently and Hive fits my requirement with the one page design.
