Does KS processing in the frequency domain /FFT spectra realm, or it's like the other 2CAudio products, more like a regular reverb type of effect processor?
KS does NOT use FFT. This is actually a large part of the reason the results can sound so strangely natural. Each line is its own separate discrete resonator with it's own perfectly exact tuning, and attack/decay timings... not possible with FFT (unless you were perhaps to get into multi-rate stuff or wavelets but even those tend to sound artifact-y). The uncertainty principal limits the ability to have perfect resolution in both time and frequency with FFT...
KS tends to sound like an actual real instrument, albeit often one that does not exist or is from some alien planet or whatever... but there is something distinctly natural about it, as it is built upon the same principals that real instruments are built upon...
