What's Patchwork like for passing automation from a plugin to the host? I find this is hard to setup in some subhosts like Metaplugin.

You may want to have a look at the manual for more details (look for "parameters mapping"):

There's a few common and useful MIDI parameters I find I'm missing in Patchwork 1.61:

- Transpose, to simply transpose input MIDI to each chain separately

- Upper and Lower Key Limits, to create different zones for each chain

- Panning, to be able to pan an entire chain output in the stereo field.

I would see these in the GUI, along with Channel selection, but they could be relegated to a secondary menu.

Thanks for considering.

Since it is already possible to do (1) and (2) using MIDI plug-ins (with Blue Cat's Plug'n Script for example, or with GUI-less support in progress, you should be able to use all the free midi plug-ins available), we currently do not plan to add such features for the moment.

For panning, we'll have to think about it and enable this only for the stereo version, as it does not make sense for others.

Finally got around to installing the upgrade from 1.6.1 to 1.6.2.
The stand-alone still showed as 1.6.1 though.
So I un-installed all and re-installed 1.6.2 and now I have no stand-alone version.
Where is it?

(Assuming that you are running Windows), haven't you mixed the 32 and 64-bit versions of the application by any chance?

If this is not the case, you may want to simply check the path used during install.

Running only the 64 bit version on Win 8.1
Path is the same as when 1.6.1 was installed.

If the installation was successful, have you checked if the application is not in the folder? Where are you looking for it? There should be a shortcut in the start menu under "Blue Cat Audio/Blue Cat's PatchWork-x64"

I have checked the folder and it's not there, only the .dll
I'll uninstall and try installing again.

If you only have a .dll then you have probably installed the VST or DX version. The Application installs an .exe

Yes, 1.6.1 had both. I only lost the .exe file installing 1.6.2
I didn't get to it today, but will do a clean install and see if that gets it back.
