yes, but did you count how many more you have inside the modules? 8)
hehe, fully aware of the insane amount over all the modules, hence me stating "only counting the matrix". I just thought I'd point out something trivial I came across. In my head, Zebra always has more than anything else I have, so I was surprised when I observed this triviality.

Thinking about it now though, I have come to love Hive's modmatrix and its associated workflow. I'd prefer if all modulations could be housed together in Zebra's modmatrix for better organisation. As far as I know, there's no overview of what's modulated via blank modulation knobs in modules in Zebra. Things can get messy remembering what's modulating what. Therefore I think I'd prefer a super modmatrix - an overview in itself - but 9 slots is not enough.
Yes, I miss that too, would be nice if the mod matrix would show any modulation from anywhere within the synth. Serum did a good job implementing both visual feedback AND mod matrix.

I demoed Serum, and the way it handles modulation feedback is great, yes.

Maybe some kind of colourcoding scheme in place in Zebra's hypothetical improved modmatrix as well. Example: you modulate oscillator 1's cutoff with modmatrix slot 1. The background of slot 1 should change to the colour/shade associated with oscillator 1, whatever it may be. Perhaps all oscillators share a colour, all envelopes share a colour and so on. In doing so, you can have a very quick rough idea what you're modulating by just glancing at this new super-mega ultra modmatrix3000.

Perhaps sources could be sorted in this matrix via a rightclick menu. "Sort by name/sort by most used" etc. This way you can quickly have everything modulated via the modwheel together, all envelope 1's modulations together and so on.

Sorting seems a good idea! Have never seen that in any mod matrix yet.

And modal and additive synthesis modules, too.

What kind of additive synthesis are you thinking of, ED?

With a high count of partials (Razor, Loom, Harmor) and neat and simple ways of influencing the generated harmonics (as also showcased in Razor and Loom). As for modal synthesis, I know Urs was mentioning it... best example I can think of is NI's Prism (and a great one at that).

Drag and drop is especially nice with the Redux skin because there the mod panel is visible all the time. Great feature.

(Colour of the cross hair is a bit too hivish though...) ;)

Yes, where to find the color settings for this in the script file...

Post

Seems that the color is fixed currently.
