I see the same with VintageVerb. The black box of the original shape of the UI window. I am not getting the crash however. This is with the VST version.

Also ValhallaFreqEcho VST crashes on resize in the same way as Room.
I have GUI issues where you go to the 1970 1980 or now preset column and it opens up behind the VVV GUI so you have to drag the VVV plugin away from it to select a preset , I also noticed a lot of time you'll open a new plugin and it'll show up underneath a rack or other plugin that is on screen , total p.i. t.a. I don't remember T5 behaving like this . :dog:

The only difference between the VST 2.4 and AU plugins from Valhalla is the target I am compiling to. Otherwise, these use the same Juce 3.0.5 code (obviously, they use different plugin wrappers within Juce, but these are essentially unaltered versions of what is in Juce 3.0.5).

Just curious because I know nothing about coding.

Do you think this info provides the Tracktion guys with any clues about the problem? Doesn't this mean it's something to do with the "target" or the "wrapper"?

Have you heard of any Mac only issues of this sort with other DAW's? Are there any other JUCE DAW's?

Do you JUCE guys ever get together and talk about this stuff? If so, is there any way you could make JUCE aware of this issue?

Realizing that this has been a problem for a while is dis-heartening, and when I sent a bug report concerning my IK plugins (no idea if these are JUCE or not), they didn't exactly seem like it was something they were aware of. I would like to give them as much info as possible for a future bug report.

Not sure you're aware but the JUCE guy and the Tracktion guy are the same guy and the Jules guy who owned JUCE until last month. If he can't fix it there's no hope for humanity. If the problem is with T6 we can expect an update soon. If its JUCE then the plugins will need to be recompiled against a fixed version.

OK, well it's a problem in T5 as well, and as far as I noticed T4. Not to mention Valhalla's comment about it being JUCE. So I guess we're screwed and this may explain why it's taken so long and why TSC is mum about it. I'm guessing that plugin developers wouldn't be keen on recompiling their working plugins just for Tracktion. Bummer, but thanks for the response.

You have misinterpreted everything I said. I imagine it will be fixed very quickly.

Jules is the chief architect and original author of both Tracktion and JUCE.
I believe Presonus, Bitwig and many others use JUCE libraries.

Keep the faith

TSC are working on it, I have been in touch with support over it and Bill has also commented on it here. I first reported it before Xmas, not that long really and I think they should be able to fix it at Tracktion's end (although probably not retrospectively to T4 if that has the same problem now). In the meantime it's only on Mac and we Mac users can use the Au versions so I don't see it as urgently.
