so to people who have NAVE, how similar is Largo to it?
and maybe some also have experience with Largo, Naveand Serum. i got Serum and totally love it but would hear/read opinions about how it is compared to NAVE/Largo.

i think so after checking it out further.

I still love Largo. While Serum is a kind of blank slate, Largo is a character synth. Sometimes I'd rather have an instrument with a lot of character than one that sort of puts me in a zero state and makes me create the character. Sometimes, vise versa.

I feel that Largo has sort of gloomy and icy sound.

I feel that Largo has a gloomy/icy/alien sound. It has also the best comb filters i've heard (really "in your face"). There are some things that i didn't like: way to exponential attack (same applies to the modulation amount curve)

yes somehow it sounds very unique indeed, i dunno yet if i like it i have to admit. i somehow like the more "digital warm" sound hahahah digital warm ;).
the GUI and handling seems sadly fiddly, maybe a Largo 2 update would be cool, i think i will pass now and wait for some newer version and/or NAVE.

Hey, that's extremely well put. :) Totally agree with that.

Waldorf Largo is one of the best software synthesizers.
I own Serum and Waldorf Blofeld.
I tried Largo too, it's sounding 90% similar to Blofeld.
But Blofeld was sounding a little bit better for me, but if I hadn't own Blofeld I would own Largo.
Serum and Largo are both great Synthesizers.
But my best sounding wavetable Synthesizer is still Access Virus TI Polar.

If I had to choose Largo or Serum I would go for Largo.
I love the Waldorf Sound.
My Opinion: You must own minimum 1 Waldorf Synthesizer.

This is a very good idea imo. Also, the Z3ta comparison has truth to it, if you own Z3ta then you could conceivably do a lot of what Largo has to offer.

That said, Largo is a seriously great synth with what sound like terrific filters imo. The only reason I don't own it is because I have a TON of synths, including the ones above.
Ha ha suck it!

dongle was the deal breaker for me..
for now, Z3ta+ and Dune is his stand in.
HW SYNTHS [KORG T2EX - AKAI AX80 - YAMAHA SY77 - ENSONIQ VFX]

Don't get Nave though if you're out for VA sounds though. Largo is much better in that regard (and actually one of the best sounding for that IMO). Strictly for wavetable sounds, you're probably better off with Nave.

I agree, but I should mention that Rolf is listening to requests in regard to the VA aspect.

Though Serum remains the one to beat, Nave, at least in my opinion, is the most promising wavetable synth today, the one with the most potential. But that's just my view.
Ha ha suck it!

I should also mention, I really like Largo's effects, though that might be a subject of contention around here.
Ha ha suck it!
