Once you get into the modular part of it, it really feels like you're in control. Sure, it has its own nature, but it's a fun challenge to bend it to your will, hehe. However, I love MuLab, really, it has a kind of humility that's outstandingly rare, while being one of the fastest DAWs out there.
After I got fed up with Reason (after many years of working with it), I was searching for a simple and reliable vst host, actually, and MuLab was the first that performed beautifully with my setup at the time, while others stuttered about. The MUX part of it was to me just a cute bonus. Frankly, I'm still not a total master of it, but it's totally part of my intuition already when working with MuLab. It's so natural to have access to any- and everything...

I haven't been around here for a very long time, though, but the vibe is still great from what I can tell! 8-)

As for this challenge, hmmm...I imagine it would be ideal to tackle it with Mulab's pure supplies, but as long as you're having fun and MuLab remains in the center of the process...why not import some samples. If I do something, though, I'll try to do absolutely everything with the synths only. I love such a challenge! :D

Think I'll get started on this today sometime. Little excited to check out mulab. Will post an audio examples soon maybe. Is there a deadline?

Is there simple tempo synced delay to be found?

How would those work inside mutools? Is this a native mulab vst? Karma fx delay is the best free tempo synced delay I think, but don't think we can use external fx for the project file to open smoothly for other users? Is this accurate?

Indeed, such public cover muprojects should not use VSTs as that would make it too complicated to open the project. At the same time it's a challenge to do it all in MuLab. And if there really is something missing, i'll extent MuLab where necessary! I would also encourage working together on such cover muprojects! These days there are enough free clouds to share the MuProject file and the used audio/sample files. Then it's just a matter of synchronizing to eachother wrt version management. Finally i'll also host the best cover muprojects on mutools.com, if that's ok with the creators.

Sweet, that's a very nice offer! :tu:

As for temp synced delays:
Look under "Factory Presets / Effects / Echo / OnBeat". That's a simple synced delay. I know, "Echo" is not a common term in effects, but it does make some sense.

Wow, I totally overlooked "Echo" folder :o

Thanks

Yes, that's why I needed directions for something that is part of MuLab, I have my go-to vst's, but sincerely would be glad to ditch majority of them on long run :drunk:

A few things things, is there an eq inside mulab? Is it possible to get a mulab code that'll work for a few weeks that doesn't emit white noise every 20 seconds? okay, found the eq, it was sensibly under the filter section :D

1. Is there anyways to create automation curves like a bendable segmented line?

2. how do I control the preview volume of samples, it's way too loud!

3.what is a mclock for the delay equivlent to steps?
Its ranges from 1 to 96?

4. Is there anything like a transient shaper?

5. Is there a sidechainer somewhere?

Okay, spent a couple hours with it and I'm officially impressed. :hihi:

One more thing, how do I stretch loops to fit project tempo? Okay, got it, simply slice the sample, nice

Finally, how do I get the multi band gater working?

Using automation parts, see http://www.mutools.com/info/docs/mulab/composer.html
2. how do I control the preview volume of samples, it's way too loud!
I'll reply on that tomorrow.
3.what is a mclock for the delay equivlent to steps? Its ranges from 1 to 96?
Midi Clocks = 24 PPQN. So value 24 = 1 beat.
4. Is there anything like a transient shaper?
Yes you can use a Audio Envelope Follower to generate note events for volume attacks aka hits.
5. Is there a sidechainer somewhere?
Using the modular area you can (side)chain anything.

Note AndreasD's Mux preset, Transient Shaper II. It is quite good:

Using the newest M6.4.21 test version:
If you add a mixer strip or rack in the Project Modular Area and name it "Preview Monitor" then all previewing is routed thru that mixer strip or rack, and so you can finetune the level there.

This turned out to be illegal, so I guess it's off
