I'm trying to sell a Palmer PDI-03 and an Xotic BB Pre to partially fund an upgrade to Omnisphere 2. Kind of glad I didn't rush into it though. Gotta handle life's little disappointments with humor and class!

im pretty angry myself. not at the spectrasonics team because they rock. they replied to email about no omni 2 in minutes. im angry at the fact that i have to wait much longer now though. i have to say though, this is really piss poor on spectrasonics part. the file is 20 gigs it does not take a rocket scientist to really there going to need a shit load of bandwidth. they should have have put far more thought and had they hired a person to calculate the correct bandwidth, this would not have happened. seem like almost agile planning. not happy :roll:then combined with the fact that if they really really wanted and were willing to put the money into it, could hire a team to fix this on friday. im NOT happy.

What a waste of time. Spent quite a bit of my time checking the shop every so often today to buy my "VIP" upgrade of Omnisphere 2. And...now the "Check back next week" message? So on top of so called "VIP" users getting a whopping couple bucks discount compared to those who buy through 3rd party vendors, AND not being able to purchase and download Omnisphere 2 on release date... I feel Spectrasonics really dropped the ball on their loyal customers today. Not just try again soon, or tomorrow.... but, try "next week."
Well, I sure hope those of you who lucked out get to enjoy Omnisphere 2 on the weekend that many of us had planned to try it. :\

i have to be a realist though and say, "meanwhile on the other side of the world in somalia, there lived a poor african boy named jmabi who had just lost his mother and father to aids, and his sister and brother to typhoid fever and who himself was dying of starvation. jmabi knew sadly that it was just a matter of time until the earth took him too. he beat his drum in anger, why him? why his family. he walked sadly his daily 10 mile walk to go get water. water that that he knew was killing him. but what did that matter anyway? he would die either way."
that, is reality, and thats what really matters, the real suffering of others, not some stupid dsp based software.

I wish Omnisphere 2 had samples of GMusic's whining, Jmabi's angry drumming and AstralExistence's blowhardiness. Together I bet they'd make a really interesting pad.AstralExistence wrote:i have to be a realist though and say, "meanwhile on the other side of the world in somalia, there lived a poor african boy named jmabi who had just lost his mother and father to aids, and his sister and brother to typhoid fever and who himself was dying of starvation. jmabi knew sadly that it was just a matter of time until the earth took him too. he beat his drum in anger, why him?GMusic wrote:What a waste of time.

actually your the only being a little bitch why the rest of us are making jokes and handling it in stride due to circumstances beyond our control. obviously you think i was being sarcastic about third world problems being far more important then some stupid software. but they are. go be negative nelly elsewhere. or feel free to crack jokes like the rest of us.
