I am thinking of buying Kontakt. I got around $100, and if the Drummica thing works, I can jump in with just 124. I got this question...jsp1979 wrote:To replace ST2, Plugsound Pro is a good choice. Keep in mind, Plugsound Pro is an older product and it's age shows in a few spots. However, I find that the UVI folks do a great job with presets. They make limited samples sound good. Obviously, though, Plugsound Pro is no competitor to Kontakt's factory library.
With Kontakt factory library, I got -practically- a General midi soundbank with a lot to offer for a beginner right? Like, I will be able to stop looking for a good Bass SFZ or SF2, a good Rhodes, a Good Jazz Drumset etc.
Aside from the benefits of all the 3rd party stuff, thinking for just the factory library, is really worthy am I right?
I would just like to be able to -count- with x instrument, say from a GM set, at anytime without breaking my head because I dont have a good quality one.
