The scenario is oscillator in lanes 1 and 3, both feeding a filter in lane 2
Oh, and without using a mixer module.
Ah that's it, I was trying to do it with a normal VCF, thanksEvilDragon wrote:Right click the filter module, sidechain. Oh, and you can do this only with XMF, not VCF.
Sure, but I wanted to know how it was done and also think it'll come in handy later on. I actually have the manual printed and bound and didn't fathom Evildragons solution above!Howard wrote:Just making sure: To simply send 2 oscillators through 1 filter, stack everything up in 1 lane only. Oscillators let signals through. It's all in the manual.
That'll sure come in handy, thanksbmrzycki wrote:(In case this helps, a link the post where I describe Zebra routing.)

I thought the OP wanted to mix the audio of both oscillators through a single filter on a different lane, so this won't work, right? As far as I know, the side chain input of an XMF doesn't route the audio from an oscillator through the filter. It allows the side chain signal to modulate the filter.EvilDragon wrote:Right click the filter module, sidechain. Oh, and you can do this only with XMF, not VCF.

Howard wrote:OK, now I get it (duh). Needs a mixer.

The conversation moved on beyond that - or so I thought (Scoplunk wrote: "EvilDragon suggested using an XMF on lane 2 because it has the extra side chain input, but I was saying that I didn't think this would work because the XMF side chain input is used as a filter modulation source and doesn't pass the audio from the side chain through the filter.")tehlord wrote:Nope, Scoplunk and ED were right, you can use input and sidechain together with an XMF moduleHoward wrote:OK, now I get it (duh). Yeah, you might be right, Howard. I'm not exactly sure what we're trying to do anymore! But I guess tehlord has a few things he can try now.Howard wrote:The conversation moved on beyond that - or so I thought
