Really? I guess that hasn't been my experience. I rarely see KVR mentioned in a bad light on other forums, other than the occasional hardware-elitist comments on gearslutz regarding KVR's software-centric community.Deep Purple wrote: This place has a bad reputation on other sites and with good reason.

Yes - KVR is an advertising platform. But don't tell anyone it's a big secret.

That is just total bull shit.sfd wrote:Psss....I'll tell you a secret.
The moderators have two main objectives. The first is to make sure that KVR's partners don't get to much criticism. After all KVR is an advertising platform.
And so posting in wrong forums et cetera is of little interest as long as it doesn't harm or came to some kind of disadvantage to the partners.
I'll badmouth IK and Sampletank3 any day of the week.
The only rules mods have, are those same ones that you can read. So, to think that we're here to protect partners, wtf, and I'm not getting paid you think I'm going to protect someone? Give me a break.
Anyway, yes, we could use more mods. I've been at kvr since 2001 (great crash made me reregister); and things change. I've been a mod 8 years or so; I'm just not that interested any more. I come here out of a sense of duty a couple of times every day, but really the things some of y'all fuss and fight about drive me nuts.

I dunno if I remember correctly, but there was a signature about thanking IKM for a free cruise last year...bluedad wrote:I'll badmouth IK and Sampletank3 any day of the week.

that was sarcasm, since mods are always accused of protecting advertising partners.Numanoid wrote:I dunno if I remember correctly, but there was a signature about thanking IKM for a free cruise last year...bluedad wrote:I'll badmouth IK and Sampletank3 any day of the week.

The entire Soundware forum was a bad idea, either everything related to commercial sound libraries, samples, sample packs, soundsets, preset expansions, dildos, wonderbraws and whatnot goes into one forum, or everything is scattered all over, but as it is now it makes no sense whatsoever. But I don't care anymore...

well do you actually think that if IK had given me ST AND a free cruise that I'd be posting it on kvr?Numanoid wrote:OK![]()
But that can get lost in the "translation"
I don't know of any mods that have received a dime or a discount for this 'job'.

To quote the great Whitney Houston: How will I know?bluedad wrote:well do you actually think that if IK had given me ST AND a free cruise that I'd be posting it on kvr?
The mod files at KVR are locked down, not available, maybe the mods at KVR could be interviewed for the KVR industry focus to get us users up to speed.
