Been looking for this too and even though it might be great bang for buck.. Too toyish for me :P Small, tiny knobs, very limited, runs with batteries if one doesn't want to buy the power thingy and connected with tiny plug. Yea and no usb.

Damn.. I'm going to buy it. After that I'm going to get Blofeld and then I'm happy and busy for a loong while ^^

Post

personally i think the Blofeld sounds like a an old plugin.
Like, Albino sounded better than it, 6 years ago.

might be the bad factory patches maybe?
or i took the damn brown acid again. [shakes fist at damn brown acid]

[not to be confused with Dan Brown acid, steer WAY clear of THAT sh!t]

Albino didn't even sound good 12 years ago.

:o

IMO, both Blofeld and Largo blow pretty much any VSTi out of the water sonically. Opinions i guess. :) But Largo for me is one of the few soft synths which can sound really versatile. Many soft synth sound a bit sameish to me. And "narrow" in how they can sound and what they can do.

Albino is a gem.

I had a Bass Station 2, one of the keys died 15 days later……so , brought it back to the shop...
It sounds good but……the most annoying thing on it is : you can't deactivate the keytracking on the filter, it's always 100% or 50%…which is very bad for creating certain sounds……
With better quality and a configurable keytracking on the filter, it would an awesome synth….IMHO
(Novation's quality is not what it used to be, i also have a Launchcontrol, and one the pot died the first year….really disappointed by novation..)

Haven't heard that before. Though everything today has to be bigger and cheaper to satisfy customers.. You need to compromise it somewhere.. Though personally I'd gladly pay extra for better quality knobs/keys for example.

Filter keytracking is annoying bug/synth feature. But yeah it would be nice.
Murderous duck!

gotta have 'Quality Knobs', Novation oughtta know that by now.
(mind you they always were pretty shitty on the bassstations)
