You should be good..........

I registered mine in Feb 2013...........

I'm also interested in switching up the rack and pedals too. And $70 is definitely fair.
If you have requests for Korg VST features or changes, they are listening at https://support.korguser.net/hc/en-us/requests/new

I think the lack of an upgrade path is a mistake. If you bought A3 in 2012 it could be argued you've had your money's worth out of it, whereas if you've only recently bought A3 you could be justifiably pissed that it was already superseded.
And that's before we get into the whole 99USD vs 99 EUR disparity...
Other than that it looks good, shame T-Racks couldn't be integrated.

Not me. I got A3 only a few weeks ago for about £4.50 or whatever it was in the sale. And looking at A4, there's a ton of stuff in A3 not now in A4, and the A4 amps are all new. Actually it looks like quite the killer combo, I'm in a much better position than people buying A4 new, seems to me - all that A3 content will work in A4.

Impressed with IK so far, good to see Peter here so visibly too.

Just bought AT Mesa/Boogie one week ago, but no JamPoints were added to my account. Well, probably because I don't own the regular full version of AT3.

Anyway, most of the users in this thread complain about the pricing and/or the models/gear included in AT4. IMHO, the biggest problem is the timing of the AT4 launch, at least from a marketing point of view. It was a nice step to offer AT3 at just under 70 $, but it was anything but wise to end this promotion just before AT4 was launched. I bet most of the posts here would not have been made if AT3 had been offered at the price above while offering the upgrade to AT4 (at a loyality price) at the same time.

While I'm a big fan of the IK plug-ins and virtual instruments in general, I do criticize some of their pricing and marketing decisions. For example, the decision to cut the percentage of the price payable with JamPoints from 50 to 30 % was more than unwise (to use polite words). This was sawing off the branch one is sitting on.

^^^^
but that last point was something that lots of people clamoured for. So that JamPoints could be used on products that were on sale at discounted prices.

I will consider to upgrade to A4 ONLY if the preset system is better , i've already tell and i tells it again , A3 act like a shareware , sorry you need to buy X or Y to use this preset..I want a preset bank with ONLY the piece of gear i own.

The solution would be to make your own presets.

I'm not understanding the lack of VST support for the FX loop. This must have been known as a downside to AT3 during the planning stage, so why would it be left out of AT4? Even VST3 side chaining could be a solution.

It should always be possible to use JamPoints, no matter if it's a regular item or a discounted one. Being able to pay 30 % of a purchase price via JamPoints is a little helpful on one hand, but the amount you save gets more or less eaten up by the VAT you pay if the buyer is from Europe. I'm sure that, if it were possible to pay 40 or even 50 % of the price via JamPoints, this would not only generate more sales, but would provide for a win-win situation both for the users and the company.

New users will have the same microphones that AmpliTube Custom Shop users have, existing users will have access to the microphones they already have in their account.

Open Custom Shop and you can purchase it there with Gear Credits. Should be prominently displayed when you open the AmpliTube side of CS. Hope that helps.

The specs are at this link but any other information I have on usage is anecdotal though I personally didn't notice anything out of the ordinary myself. More information will likely be available on this sort of question a little closer to release.
