-edit- yes it is 64 bit! Other free favorites for me are Synth1, SQ8L, Tyrell.braj wrote:Kinda more abandonware really. It was put out to pasture.
^^ I take that back, at least they updated it to 64 bits.

Yeah, on the product page it has a logo for 64 bit compatibility, but they apparently mean a 64 bit version of Windows, which is shoddy advertising considering the market they are in. Grrr.chk071 wrote:Firebird? Nope, 32-bit only unfortunately...

One of the best maybe, but it's definitely not better (or worse) sounding than let's say PG-8X, Eclipsis, Kern, Lokomotiv and a lot of others.
The freeware world is having some serious gems these days.

I'M NOT THAT IMPRESSED WITH FIREBIRD REALLY!!!!
Synth1 is obviously gonna be the winner of any free synth contest but I'd also add TAL-Noisemaker, Kairatune, TyrellN6 & TripleCheese to the list as ones I still use (64bit being one of the main criteria here).

Yeah, Firebird, the U-he stuff except the presets aren't usable, and Synth1 are some good ones. If you want to actually cause earthquakes and move faster than any other living thing, you'd need something solid like my freebies.
Are there going to be more U-he freeware?
sorry dear
