I've been working with Goodhertz plugins lately. Really innovative and a great alternative to the endless fake analog GUIs. One thing that might confuse people is the GUIs are all modern and up to date, but the vibe is old school analog. These are really interesting and worth exploring. Here are my results.
Bought
Faraday Limiter. I don't generally use it to volume maximize, I use it as a coloring limiter. It can work a lot like a tape sim plugin, softening the top and adding some natural sounding compression. The GUI interface is brilliant, just brilliant, and so are the saturation/transformer sounds. It will also do a great job slamming your mix without making it sound clinical. I'm still getting to know it, but really impressed.
Trem Control. Awesome, the greatest trem plugin in the world love it. Awesome
Tilt shift. This is cool and great for adding air or emulating the tonal color of a mic--check out the presets. It's like a tilt Eq with a college degree
Debating
PanPot--wow, wow this is interesting. It's basically a way to effect the stereo image: it does the things you already do but quickly and easily. You can adjust sliders for eq, delay and phase and really make a track sit where you want it to sit. it's like that "proximity" plugin that Tokyo Dawn Labs offers, but easier to use and nicer to look at. About to buy
Tone Control. I Like this, it's sophisticated and unique, it sounds great, very very smooth. But I have a lot of eqs... on the fence
Vulf: LOVED this on some things but I'm just overloaded with comps. The WOW feature can be really stunning. nothing else like it
GoodDither. Not really sure it's doing much for me.

I had to pick up Tiltshift. I've got a thing for pluck sounds lately and Tiltshift makes them sound amazing.
I might pick up Panpot at some point too. The others don't do much for me at the moment.

Just purchased Trem Control. I've been demoing so many products that control the volume but this one is absolutely beautiful. Very simple UI design (that is I'm sure, far more difficult to pull off), which makes using it just a breeze. You can ride the rate control of the LFO without any pops or clicks. Switching between waveforms also does not introduce any artifacts.
Again just lovely.
Also I have to give a big nod to their support... My demo had expired and they were far quicker than I expected to respond with an extension. I demoed for 10 minutes and then purchased. Such an easy decision to buy.

Hey all, thank you for the latest feedback and the kind words! Very much appreciated.
We just released Midside — our 11th plugin — a new expressive stereo imaging processor. If you've been wanted a better way to control the stereo field (or do an M/S recording) check it out! We'd love to hear what you think about it.

The demo just sounds beautiful... I ended up following the link on youtube to download the track from bandcamp.devkerr wrote:Hey all, thank you for the latest feedback and the kind words! Very much appreciated.

I love how well you guys have worked out parameter changes without introducing pops and clicks. There are obviously a ridiculous number of plugins on the market, but I think you've found a way to take it up a notch.
I hope to make Midside a purchase in the near future but just have to recover from hardware upgrades.
Seriously great work!

How does it compare to Mathew Lane DrMS? I love that plugin, not sure I need two of the same.
PS Goodhertz: Could you please add your products to the KVR database? Only the developer have access to do so for some reason.

I've never tried the Mathew Lane plugin, but looking at it I can say right away that the goodhertz plugin is going to be easier to use. The interface is really effective and simple.asksol wrote:How does it compare to Mathew Lane DrMS? I love that plugin, not sure I need two of the same.

I'm very far from an expert at mid/side processing. The goodhertz plugin makes it easy for me to position things in the mix, quickly and fluidly. I'm not really sure what they're doing or how--it's a bit of a "black box" to me. But it's really marvelous how much control you get. Extremely impressive
